not a 2 day tests match...... but 2 test matches left
Agreed viru. I was hoping both sides would make 300 max and then see who had the skills to win the test.
Anyway bud, enjoy your cricket. I have to sing "dirty old town" and "i've been a wild rover" and "nancy spain" and "leaving of liverpool"
Look forward to getting back, after a 3 hour sing along and then a nice indian restaurant meal after that to see how our boys have bowled for the remainder of this day. Great batting by these 2, and for that century.
Smith dismissed by Bresnan but SouthAfrica well poised to score in excess of 500.
kallis is going to play his shots. definately will up sa's rr
SA definately cannot lose from here, unless wickets fall like a pack of cards. now SA might back themselves after tea and probably get a lead of around 50 today.

Surprise to see lack of English presence in this post since draw still seems the likeliest result and we have to rewind back a lot to see the last time English on back foot at their home soil.
this pitch is so rubbish. The ball is not even carrying to the slips. The only way you can take wickets currently is by bowling them, or making the players play a lose shot. I would laugh my ass off if any of the england bowlers end up injured after this test match. It is basically a waste of energy imo.
And where r the tahirs critics?????
Completed dominated by bat today but u would expect such acclaimed bowling line up to do slightly better than picking just 1 wicket in 80 odd overs. Also, Swann and Bopara to an extent have been underutilized.
Oops just checked, he has bowled more than 30 % of South African innings.
Had a look at batsman to come
Duminy
Devilliers
Rudolph
England bowlers will have think a bit before the start of 2nd test.
Viru are u an English born of Indian origin?
I think SA have a slightly upper hand. If ABD comes he is bound to score quickly, and dat only means england will have to bat last. Broad has been bowling at the pace which praveen kumar was bowling last summer.

I thought the africans had to win the series to get to number 1 ? Test cricket is about 20 wickets.

More questions have been raised over English inability to pick Africa's 20 wickets instead of African bowlers to pick 20 wkts.
i wonder how SA are so gd despite playing the least no. of tests. amazing team they hv
Additionally, with the amount of talent they have lost due to favorable discrimination policy, its remarkable that they still produce consistently good results.
where are the english posters.
Celebrating 5-0 odi series against the weakest Aussie side in their history.
I guess most posters after critisizing tahir and steyn to some extent, are ashamed and waiting for swann and broad to pick a couple of wickets fro them to make a comeback
Wat a simple strategy, Bat till tomorrow tea, and then put in the tired england team to bat. Fresh Steyn, philander and morkel and tahir will look to do early damages, and hope england collapse the way they did yesterday. Also not to forget we could have the pitch detoriating.
I would say 60% draw and 40% SA win. No way england can even dream about winning in this match
