i agree about beckford although i do worry he could be like lionel ainsworth (is a gangster) type of attitude but he is probably best of the players mentioned

its not insulting...its what every single club do..they make an opening bid.. blackburn started at less than a third of what rhodes finally went for..
we then told them exactly how much and how we wanted it paying..

wait till they start talking personal terms its a chiffing minefield of boll-x and clauses etc etc..
if you want 4 million for the pair, i suggest that 3 plus should be a good deal all round, especially if its all upfront...I dont think united will want add ons and clauses anymore than we did for rhodes..
its not personal, town just got 8 million, the whole world knows and will try it on as much as we will try it on the other way round .. itll get sorted...
