I'd actually feel more optimistic about the chelsea game if it ws at Stamford Bridge
Our home form has been terd
posted 1 day, 2 hours ago
i think the hope is over time once foundations have been laid and squad and players have settled more into Frank's and the team behind the scenes vision that we can start seeing better football and things clicking further up the pitch
just having this level though and what we are seeing at the moment doesnt make for sustainable results though, although football is going away from the 'beautiful football' stuff, some form of attacking open play creation and front footedness needs to come eventually
otherwise having this for a couple years and same old changing for a more 'exciting' manager like H says. I would like to stick with a guy for a while though, hopefully Frank is that man and can eventually have us better to watch and more enjoyable to follow (for me)
Need injured forwards to come back for better forward play and a new signing in January to give Frank another option.

Thoughts on Frank thus far? Was gonna do an article but couldn't be bothered
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it's been a lot different to what I was expecting. I thought we would see more flexibility week to week and he would have tried to be a bit more progressive with how we set up but we're just playing Brentford ball.
On one hand it's effective and you can't really argue with the results right now. At the same time it does put a pretty hard cap on how good this team could be long term. I hope he is aware of that and is treating this style of play as a stepping stone rather than as the final destination

In game flexibility I assume you mean? I do agree with your second paragraph.

extending someone like Bentancur makes me worry. If we bring in Palhinha permanently too then I would suspect that he'll probably be the 5th manager in a row who fails to make it to his third season
If we get a couple of ready made forward options in January we will see what Uncle Frank can do, but its always the hope at Spurs

i just thought we wouldn't be refusing to play through midfield regardless of opposition. every week it's the same plan of playing direct into the front 4 or trying to work it wide through the full backs combining with the wingers.
Like when you have players like Simons and Johnson, who couldn't hold the ball up or bring down a long ball to save their lives, out wide and your plan to get up the pitch is still the same and you're just hitting the channels for 90 minutes it makes me worry that you're not being pragmatic but are actually being quite rigid. In the last month or so we have been pretty staggeringly poor at creating chances in open play

Frank not being pep is hardly a surprise tbf. I think there's an element to it that's the players tho. Palhinha is never going to be an expansive passer, Bentancur can do a pass but seemingly can't break a line these days so you're left with sideways/long ones unless Romero's there to do it
posted 19 hours, 48 minutes ago
Definitely I'm willing to give Frank the benefit of the doubt that this phase is a stepping stone until we get better forwards or at least get most of them fit

Tbh I don’t think you could as it’s go well in a totally different way than you said it would.
Im intrigued on how it’s going in 12 months time as how we currently are playing isn’t going to be sustainable over a longer time period ( I said the same with Ange 3 months in ).

We've shown good flexbility with defensive changing & player rotation. I just think our in-game flexibility/formation changing has been surprisingly non-existent.

I was confused at times Sunday …..kudus and Johnson seemed to both be on the right with Xavi coming into the middle
Seemed like a tactic to overload the right and target their left side and encouraged Spence to bomb on down the left as everything shifted over
