Soldado gets thrown in against the champions, that is about par for the course for Spurs managers. WTF Verts, although Fazio is OK, and had a good season last year in Portugal.

Might be just the game for Soldado. A team that will not be over-defensive minded, such as teams who park the bus. Give him a bit of space in which to operate.

Soldado is no kid. He's had a full season in England and doesn't need to be eased in.

If he was good enough this game would be fine for him, unfortunately he is just not very good (in the premier league). Hopefully we're still in the game with 30 mins to go and Ade can come on.

The bottom line is Spurs may just spring a surprise. I think the media are slightly going overboard about City, they are hardly the second coming. Good team yes, but certainly not unbeatable, and they have a few oldies in their team like Lampard playing today. Their defence does not look that good to me.

Glad Adebayor is not playing ( thank god) . Vertonghen must be because of international break? Fazio was bought in so why not. Hope Soldado has a cracker and keeps Ade out the team. I think that city line up looks beatable actually. They are missing some key players in that 1st 11
