Me too... Think he done pretty well preseason but at least he'll get a good chance of first team football
Yeah a good loan is vital in a lot of young players careers. I would rather him than Chiriches, but I guess hopefully Dier will be moved to fourth choice CB?
Yea I guess Dier will move back to CB once walker recovered in November/December.
I'm off the opinion that we could sell Vlad and wouldn't make any difference.
I never understood what anyone saw in Vlad, even in his 'best' games he made countless mistakes, he just made good recovery tackles to compensate.
U21 squad for tonight
Squad: McGee, Miles, Akindayini, Amos, Ceballos, Georgiou, Lamerias, Maghoma, McQueen, Miller, Ogilvie, Onomah, Pritchard, Sonupe, Walker-Peters.
@SpursOfficial: Spurs U21s (v Norwich): McGee; Walker-Peters, Maghoma, Ogilvie, McQueen; Lameiras, Miller, Onomah; Sonupe, Akindayini, Ceballos.
@SpursOfficial: Spurs U21s subs (v Norwich): Amos, Pritchard, Georgiou, Miles (GK).
@SpursOfficial: U21s: Norwich take an early lead as Morris' header from Toffolo's cross deflects in off Ogilvie. 1-0, 3mins
McQueen playing LB with Ogilvie at CB alongside 16-year old Maghoma. Onomah ahead of Miller & Lameiras.
@SpursOfficial: U21s: Ceballos lays off for Onomah who takes a touch and curls, right-footed, past the post from 25 yards. 1-0, 15mins
@SpursOfficial: U21s: Norwich extend their lead as King heads home at the far post after Morris' shot was blocked by McGee. 2-0, 36mins.
@SpursOfficial: U21s HT: Norwich 2-0 Spurs - Chances at both ends, Ceballos close just before break, pace one of our strengths #COYS http://t.co/6Rpy3AUm5h
@WindyCOYS: Beautiful goal from Ceballos to make it 2-1. Rifled home from outside the box. He had been threatening to do that!
@SpursOfficial: U21s: Norwich restore their two-goal lead as Morris feeds King in space in the box and he fires home. 3-1, 70mins
I dont really rate Ceballos from what little I have seen him, looks a worse Townsend
@SpursOfficial: Mauricio: “We expect a tough game at City but we are confident in our skill and we’ll try to get the points.” #COYS http://t.co/hVd0YWARCW
@SpursOfficial: Mauricio: “We need to reproduce the same feeling we had against Southampton, take that momentum and put it into practice against City.”
@SpursOfficial: Mauricio on Pellegrini: “Manuel is a very good manager. We have a good relationship. I’m happy for him.” #COYS
@SpursOfficial: Mauricio on Argentinian influence: “Zabaleta was my team-mate at Espanyol, Aguero and Demichelis are players of big quality.” #COYS
@SpursOfficial: Mauricio: “Adebayor and Bentaleb arrive tomorrow so we have to check them as well.” #COYS
@SpursOfficial: Mauricio: "We have another day to train and after that we will choose the squad for Manchester City on Saturday.” Spurs TV interview soon...
Harry Kane was arguably MOTM for England-U21 against Croatia. Maybe he can cope with being a loan striker?
+ england played a 433 formation, so not really a lone striker
Not going to discredit U21 when its the only chance he has had, and he took it.
Plus the 433 is hardly that much different to what we play. With Chadli and Beharino's roles being directly comparable.
It's very different
4231 - the 3 BEHIND the striker have to drop further back into the midfield . The only game comparable was the arsenal game but we prob played a more 4411 with chadli right up close to adebayor.
433 - there's 3 up top with 3 CMs covering all the space behind them leaving them no defensive duties really.
I would bet you didn't see Kane without another Eng players further than 5 yards away at any point during the game.
Also would like to point out that kane was dropping deep quite a lot picking up the ball which is something Spurs fans complain about adebayor about.
Im a kane fan and he works best with players close to him
Btw this is just my opinion on him, in the long run him might become a very good lone striker but I don't see it.
