I'm probably being harsh on the guy because he did have a good game overall and I suppose you have to react quickly in that moment. Although the pundits seem to be saying the same about him, that he was really rash with his challenge.

The whole team played brilliantly tonight. I never brought into the hype that this Real Madrid team would blow Spurs away. Spurs have been one of the top teams in what is probably the second best league in the world for a while now. Everybody completely understimates how good this Spurs team (squad) is. This team is built around the best defence in Britain in my opinion.

Aurier... did very well, dealt well with Marcelo who is the best LB in the world ATM.

As a whole everyone played well. Ronaldo was out of sorts, and one must put that down to our back three.

Thought Llorente was well used to playing against Real Madrid and did his part - to stop Kane getting double teamed. Passing was terrific.
Vertonghen had his hands full and didn't give any ground - annoyed Ronaldo, for which I give him extra marks!
Sissoko has been slated on this board time and again. But he showed his worth tonight - worked well with Aurier.
I did not get a read on our record buy, Sanchez - any comments there?

They could have won it 3-1 as I predicted.
And we could have nicked it at the end, 1-2, which would have been "over the moon".
Pochettino's emphasis on fitness and training paid off - this team did not tire.
So, all-in-all, on this performance, I think Spurs are in danger of becoming a "big team"! They need to do as well when Real come to Wumberley

Confidence should be sky high. If we can go to the Bernabau and get a much deserved draw then we can go into this game confident of a win. Liverpool's defence are awful. Time to take advantage.

I think he may set up defensively and try to take them on the counter, As we all know their defence isnt the best, and they will be strong in midfield.
