Ps this article is aimed at BOTH sets of fans... just in case that isnt clear from original post.
If you are bigger than the idiot who dares to chant on sunday should you slap him?
well no but you cold tell him to pack it in. That's how these things are stopped. As you rightly say these people are a minority. Don't let them get away with it.

You are far too PC for me... but fair enough your way could work too
I did once turn round to tell a Chelsea fan to quit the racism (at a league cup final) only to bottle it when I saw he looked like the third Kray brother. I'm just not very good at slapping - which I admit would be satisfying.
I was once at a Dorchester match and there was a kid there being racist. Everyone turned round and told him to shut up or we'd chuck him out. Never happened again.
5* article.
What happened at - and after - Hillsborough is one of those terrible things that ought to put football and tribal rivalries in perspective. Any healthy human being should understand this and behave in a respectful way, preferably at all times, always in relation to tragedies and especially at times when things like this are raw in our minds.
There will be absolutely no excuses for anything other than perfect behaviour at the weekend. No one will buy the weaselly excuses like "the song isn't about Hillsborough, it's about the Suarez incident".
Don't let the minority win, rise above the idiots

Same goes for sticking any arms out in an aeroplane gesture only to suggest you were stretching!
It is always a minority of fans from any club
The problem for me is that even the minority should no where to draw the line when having banter with rivals fans
TVJ it's not even banter, it's sick
Should be banned for life from the grounds
Pride - I think thats what TVJ meant. there is a line that should never be crossed.
sadly you will always get both liverpool fans and utd fans mocking munich and hillsborough.
what it needs is for the decent match goers to point these people out to the stewards so they can be removed from the stadium and have their season tickets revoked, and then be banned from the stadiums.
were man utd and your liverpool, surely the clubs themselves arent worried about how these idiots can be replaced.
The slapping idea, whilst quite tempting, is clearly a no goer.
If some morons insist on starting these chants then both sets of supporters should join together in booing the fools to drown them out.
Ok lads i take back the slapping idea (though it was a joke as stated in OP)
booing could also work....they just need to know that they dont speak for the majority.
Í'm still for the slapping idea. And a swift flick to the pods to make sure.
Maybe slightly off topic, but i must say a big thank you to the everton fans at last nights game, brought a tear to my eye.
Exceptional.
Liverpools fans sometimes sing about Munich and they are idiots
Man Utd fans sing about Hillsbourough and they are equally idiots.
Anyone that sings about people that have died are a pathetic waste of space.
They are scu m.
I don't know how they do it, they must have very small brains
you'll probably find greg that their brother is actually their uncle, father and cousin all rolled into one.
VCD.. I think we ll agree the question is do we have a chance to put a stiop to it on sunday...maybe show these idiots that we all dont think like them?
i think you'll get some idiots who cant help themselves, the media will pounce on it, and all utd fans will be branded in the same way, and the utd board will be full of idiot liverpool, city, arsenal and chelsea fans ( not all though) trying to make out the entire united board are too blame.
i think whats important to remember though is that these fans are the minority, (along with liverpool fans who chant about munich) and 99% of united and liverpool fans are actually decent people who know right from wrong.

Im sad to say that as Liverpool fans 'we' drew the first blood, as I remember kids singing about Munich on the back of the school bus Pre-89.
So it's up to us to ensure that if and whatever the minority from Man U sing, we don't retaliate. It's time both clubs stopped using human trajedy to point score in the interest of rivalry.
