Something has to change at the club. Owen Coyle has now had over 12 months to do that. It quite clearly is not working. If Owen Coyle has had his chance then it's is simply someone else's turn!
We chose to lose Steinsson & Klasnic by not offering new contracts.
We chose to lose NRC by allowing a release clause in case we were relegated because he wouldn't accept lower wages.
I would also like the David Ngog autobiography titled 'Deadly in the box'.
Petrov - come on. If the powers-that-be decided to leave him in charge after relegation, do you really think they aren't going to give him the 20 games promised.
The fans rarely agree with chairemn/owners.
But they make the decisions.
Some realism would be appreciated.
Quick question CEF.
Which statement do you believe the most?
The corridor one Gartside said or the very public one where Gartside said "failing to get promoted is not an option"??
does that mean PG is giving owen until its mathmatically impossible to go up?
Unless Coyle's plan all along was to get relegated immediately to relieve NRC of his duties, it wasn't a choice to let him go.
As for IK and GS, I'm sure most bolton fans would put them in their matchday squad this season
RB - The corridor one was in the privacy of his empire and said with 100% sincerity. The public one was the sound-bite released by the club spin-doctor to pacify god-knows who!! I'll let you decide!!!
Heathen - 20 games is the 1st Dec. This leaves plenty of time to get promoted!!!
CEF- You may well be correct, and perhaps he will get 20 games- but if things carry on as they are then the Reebok is going be a pretty horrible place by then...
So in other words I think most people hope the board act before then- for OC's and promotions sake. It is not emotion, it is quite sound logic,
Also although I can't be certain, i don't imagine the deal was 20 games no matter what... There has to be signs of improvement, and they are few and far between.
im sure the last guy got until the end of the year....
20 games won't happen. By Dec if nothing has improved we will see crowds of 13,000 and open demonstrations against Coyle and the board. Coyle will have lost people's personal respect because his love of the club will be questioned as a myth as he continues to damage it.
Nothing I saw tonight was any different from Burnley. Eagles was our best player. SKD looks like the only striker who looks able to score. The rest look all over the place. Warnock may be the only slight improvement.
WW - I am 100% correct. Please, I wish you'd all remember I am only the messenger.
There is no way OC is going to be sacked before 20 games while we are only a couple of wins from 3rd place.
I wrote an article before the season started about expectations. We as fans expect an immediate return because we have just experienced 11 years of Prem football.
The club directors look at things more pragmatically. i don't like it, you don't like it, but it's still true.
A team created by Sam Allardyce calling us dirty?
As I said, you may be correct. No complaints with your information- but do with the content of it...
Not shooting the messenger, and don't think anyone else is either.
Let's not adversity divide us.
Not actually as bad as I have seen this season in terms of performance. My concern is that our best player by a mile Eagles is very inconsistent and that this is his level. What bodes if we got promoted I dread to think. I was going to take back what I had said about Spearing but tonight I felt he was all over the place and gave away the ball too much. Is Joe Riley injured because Mears is awful?
I would also like the Matt mills Zat Knight bloopers DVD for Christmas please.

Your first comment Petrov.
Nothing I saw tonight was any different from Burnley. Eagles was our best player. SKD looks like the only striker who looks able to score. The rest look all over the place. Warnock may be the only slight improvement.
-------------------------
A complete contradiction from your comment above.
All of us who went to Burnley, know that it was our worst performance of the season (maybe equal to Hull).
Trust me, if you went to Burnley and Hull you couldn't have made that last comment!!!!!
Just to egg on the daft ..... how do you feel we would do back in the Prem with this shower?
Push for Europe maybe?
Hmm, I am pretty sure CEF has mentioned a 'get out clause' in this 20 games story, ie, if things are really really bad he could get sacked more soon. Well, they're really, really bad just now. I don't see why you have to tell everyone it isn't going to happen, for all you know, it is, CEF. Even by your own version of events. That's not shooting the messenger, that's reminding the messenger what the message was.
That was awful.
We have only 2 options on the pitch. Up to Davies, down to Eagles or visa versa. It's pathetic and it doesn't work.
Maybe KD isn't directly at fault here, but I said at half time that we will only play one way with him on the pitch. That way is predictable, slow and so easy to defend against. It's awful to watch.
We never, ever move the ball quick enough. Mears and Mills generally change their minds about 4 times before launching it up to KD. They need to get it and play it on the floor to Andrews, Eagles or Mavies. All of whom are available at all times. The one time Mills moved it forward on the floor, Mavies ended up getting a shot away.
Even though he scored 2 goals today, I think it's fair to suggest that KD should not play as often, so as to change - or at least give the opportunity to change - our tyke of play.

The factual version was, "we'll look at it after 20 games and if we are worse than 8th, then action will be taken".
The get-out, as you put it, would therefore only be if 8th became mathematically impossible before 20 games!!!
In this crazy league, that ain't going to happen, therefore 20 games it is!!!!
Dont wish to sound like a know it all but I predicted this mess last winter.
Crowds are going to get worse,I believe Leeds brought a few tonight to swell the attendance.Imagine 10 thousand on a cold winters night in Jan,it will be awful, its a horrible atmosphere now.
I like Owen the man in fact who wouldnt? but this blind faith in him will ruin us,in fact it already has in my opinion.
Sadly I decided not to go tonight through illness but that would have sent me over the edge I think. We cant win games, cant keep a clean sheet and get run ragged by teams deemed inferior to us by some quarters preseason.
So whats the answer=Change it now.
another defensive masterclass tonight.wonderful tactics especially 2nd half.plenty of arm waving shouting etc on the touchline, brilliant!well done skd now everyone knows why coyle is picking him after what he did tonight.afobe and sordell very poor.as for ngog i wonder if his hamstring strain came on looking at the bad weather earlier on?

I just can't agree, Benny. You and I would play a totally different game of football. I thought KD was awful. Him being on the pitch makes us hoof it to him. Problem is now, he isn't winning it. Defenders in this league can deal with it. I thought Sordell was good when he came on. At least he got the ball down and trie to play a bit. And how can people have a go at N'Gog when he didn't even play?
i think skd just might have saved coyles job for now.i know who i would rather have in the trenches with me too.

Are you really trying to say your weren't dirty?
Warnock is probably the dirtiest manager in the game.
And a team created by allardyce? Only Davies remains from his days and he's soft as shoit now
