Huge crowds scrambled up Australia's Uluru for the final time on Friday, ahead of a ban on climbing the sacred rock.

The giant monolith - once better known to visitors as Ayers Rock - will be permanently off limits from Saturday.

Uluru is sacred to its indigenous custodians, the Anangu people, who have long implored tourists not to climb.

And they have played New Zealand three times at World Cups but have never won.

In 2005, the British and Irish Lions rugby union team toured New Zealand for the first time since 1993, playing seven matches against first and second division teams from the National Provincial Championship, one match against the New Zealand Maori team, and three test matches against New Zealand (the All Blacks). The Lions lost the test series 3-0, the first time in 22 years that they lost every test match on tour.

The Pentagon has awarded a $10bn (£8bn) cloud-computing contract to Microsoft, following a heavily-scrutinised bidding process in which Amazon had been seen as the favourite.

The 10-year contract for the Joint Enterprise Defence Infrastructure, or Jedi, is aimed at making the US defence department more technologically agile.

Amazon's bid drew criticism from its rivals and US President Donald Trump.

International Stadium Yokohama is a 72,327-capacity ground which will host both Rugby World Cup semi-finals and the final.

It opened in 1998 and hosted football's 2002 World Cup final, in which Brazil beat Germany 2-0.

The ground has also staged several Fifa Club World Cups as well as rugby Test matches including last year's 37-20 win for New Zealand over Australia.

Dereck Chisora stopped fellow Briton David Price in the fourth round of a frenetic heavyweight clash at The O2 in London - then targeted Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk.

Former world title contender Chisora, 35, unsettled Price at the end of the third round with two right hooks and unloaded again in the next round to send his opponent to the canvas.

Although a dazed and wobbled Price, 36, got up during the count, his corner threw in the towel to end the fight.

Aryna Sabalenka has secured her third title of the year with a straight-set win over Kiki Bertens in the WTA Elite Trophy final in Zhuhai.

The 21-year-old world number 14 from Belarus cruised to a 6-4 6-2 victory over the Dutch top seed to win the second-tier version of the season-ending WTA Finals.

All three of Sabalenka's titles in 2019 have been won in China.

Nottingham Forest donated 3,000 food parcels to the homeless after a game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Saturday match against Reading FC had to be postponed because heavy rain had left the City Ground pitch unplayable.

Instead of letting the pies, pasties and sandwiches go to waste, the club decided to give it to Framework, a homeless charity based in Nottingham.

Tiger Woods equalled the PGA Tour record of 82 tournament wins with a three-stroke Zozo Championship victory.

The 43-year-old world number 10 had seven holes to finish in Japan on Monday as he matched fellow American Sam Snead's record, set in 1965.

It was his first event since having his fifth knee operation nine weeks ago.
