All clubs have idiots.

Huddersfield will hopefully identify them and then like west ham ban them for life.

Only thing I heard (and I was right next to them) was them singing, "He's Jimmy Saville, he's ****ed all your kids!"

Towton

If a few of our fans sing about him it gets put in the national media.

I've been to Hudds a couple of times, don't think I heard anything anti-semitic, was surprised to see this story on the Beeb today.

Yep, i heard them singing " your just a town full of yiddies" it was quite clear coming from them from the left main stand in the corner, surprised nobody else heard them. So much for their so called "family friendly club" they try and reckon out to be, and we are all "vile animals" are we? kettle and frying pan spring to mind

From what I understand it's not anti-semitic chants at all, just a "mishap".

You lot sing Leeds, Leeds, Leeds, quickly, which sounds like "y ids"

As long as I've known me as a town fan (31 year old male) have always called you y ids. Nothing to do with Jews or anything.

Tbh I didn't even know what y id meant or that it offended people until I came on here and realised it was a banned word.

That's my understanding of it anyway, I know a lot of Jews live in and around Leeds and have done for decades. But seriously that's my naive understanding of the word.

Don't know about any other town fans?

Perhaps it's just me being a bit thick and socially inept ,I don't know

sing a few rude songs or punch a goalkeeper and rip seats out of a stand???

its a rheotorical question...

forget about the kettle and the pot, le-ds dont have one to p-ss in when it comes to rascist/abusive chants and violence..

you really shouldnt draw attention to other teams supporters, they only then step back and look at your "record", pat themselves on the back and say "at least we are not le-ds united"...

Calling someone y ids is not a mishap.

Its a derogatory term, highly offensive and isn't something people blurt out without knowing.

That would be the areas where the Leeds fans managed to get into the Town areas ? Thing is, there were 16,300 Town fans in the ground, and what, 50 start chanting that stuff ? That means 16,250 Town fans did NOT. However it is round the world now as the Beeb announce 'Town fans anti semitic chants', like it was everybody ?

Where is the sense of proportion ? There was no crowd trouble to fill their column inches so they've filled it with that stuff.

I'm not saying it was right, it certainly isn't, but they never publish a headline saying "50 Town fans make anti-semitic chants" do they....

It's an insult to the rest of us who don't do stuff like that, yet we are tarred with it now...

if you think a few berks chanting something ranks alongside thumping a goalkeeper and ripping seats out of stands you really are clutching at straws..
forget the pot and the kettle when it comes to badly behaved fans , le-ds dont have a pot to p=ss in on that score..
might be better just to concentrate on how much better your team was than ours in the second half.. maybe enjoy it and look forward...??
forget the fans and chanting you have too much making up to do, itll take years..

True jacko, however, have a look back through this thread.

You will see that us as fans understand that, not one of us has suggested that its a major problem, or that it was all of you.

The only idiot who appears to have done that is 38, but he is a moron so none of us would expect anything less

Your right hydy. You are socially inept!

Mattyp

If I knew what it meant I would have stopped saying it years ago, trust me. In my line of work I have to deal with all walks of life and religions. So I would never ever say anything derogatory about any religion, sexuallity, race etc.

Now you're been hypocritical. You're moaning about just a few of your fans misbehaving and it been in the national media yet you're saying we're worse... because a few of our fans misbehaved. Sheffield Wednesday was the first real trouble at a Leeds game in a long, long while. So before you comment please, actually know what you're on about.

mattyp..
in the scheme of things it wasnt even worth doing a post on..
the whole world is going to sh-t and someone has now decided that name calling is the worst thing in the world..
I merely pointed out the error of a few le-ds united fans this season that put a bit of name calling into perspective..
Morons, mattyp follow the crowd , dont read what people have said and then name call, maybe then moving on to worse things????
read the posts properly and then comment....
Be honest if people totally ignored berks chanting rubbish then they would stop, they are hoping to annoy and are seeking attention, sad but true.. unfortunately its difficult to say the same about fans assaulting goalkeepers or throwing seats, its a fact....

38 yrs, we know we have a few idiots, we did try to prevent the numpty who attacked Kirkland from attending games (he was under a banning order at the time) using this to justify your own fans abusive chanting only brings your fans down to his level.
I for one have enjoyed the banter on here between the Leeds and Hudds Fans over the last few days, why spoil it ? .
We didn't muck rake this headline up, the beeb did.
Up until now i thought both sets of Fans behaved well at the game
I spoke to one of your "fans" on here who boasted of taking a leak on the statue of Don Revie , strangely he hasn't been on since, but he was the Only Hudds Fan that i've taken offence with.

by the way..the commentary team on the millwall v le-ds match passed a number of comments about the "chanting" and gesticulations between sections of both sets of supporters..
apparently some from both sides were not even watching the game, just hurling abuse at each other..
like i said, morons...

you dont have a "high horse" to get on...
