All of a sudden, England looks much better than India in all departments of the game. Now, first test defeat seems an aberration.
Well most of us on here have been adamant in the last few years that India needed to change things, but were shot down by Indian fans as being jealous because they were number1 and that we were all wums for even suggesting sachin should retire.
Now though, forced changes will happen. Would it not have been better for the Indians to slowly crop a few youngsters along the way? Would have made a lot more sense.
They still have a solid ODI team but I don't see them causing most opposition any trouble in tests
Sharma doing well here, batted for over an hour and has 10 runs. Future test opener?
Sharma 10 from 53
Showed some fight and proved that with abit of Application the crease can be occupied on a flat track. Well played lad
Ashwin another one for his 50
Pity he can't bowl though
India in a spot of difficulty here at 1-9.
Finn brings nothing exceptional at all. A fit Stuart Broad of much greater value than a fit Steven Finn. And unlike Finn, Broad has the potential to bat.
We just need Broad back fit and to bring him back into the team. That's clear for anyone to see.
David Morris on Twitter: "Fair play to these Indian fans for sticking with their team until the very end. Would be an empty venue if this were Australia!"
=====================
aint that the truth !!
hope they dont get another 40 or 50
tbh, cant see that sort of total being any trouble england in the form they are in, but 120 and a couple of early wickets and the winning line will seem a long long way away.
Finn brings nothing exceptional at all. A fit Stuart Broad of much greater value than a fit Steven Finn. And unlike Finn, Broad has the potential to bat.

Tell me this is a joke? Not a very funny one, but a joke nevertheless?

Can't beat a good sense of humour.
Well played to Ashwin and the tail for showing the fight they have. Didn't think this would get to the last day but Ashwin shows what a great all rounder he could be, if he could bowl.
Can't beat a good sense of humour.

that's what I thought
must be a wum.
There was a time when playing opposition of India rejoiced if Tendulkar got unfit to play whereas the playing opposition now only wants him to prolong his career.
Additionally, some of their yesteryear all time greats are on payroll of BCCI, so famous ex-players are not critical of present BCCI selection policy but when an outsider does, they say that the outsiders envy India's glorious record.
Well played by the Indian tail, great effort to get a lead, Ashwin has proved himself with the bat throughout the series and I would not begrudge him a century, as long as hes out for 101.
Can't see me being up for 3.30am, so hopefully it will all be over and England will be 2-1 by the time I crawl out of bed.

Is the forecast correct in predicting rain to fall all day..???
Only on your parade, Rabbid...
i dont give a sh.. whether he batted well or not. its not his job to bat. he needs to f...n pick wickets against quality teams.
england hv mentally won the game, and even if they were given 250 to chase in 2 sessions they wud do it. We needed them not win the mental game, and clearly india hv only been loud with their mouths from the start of the series. I made an article pointing that out but now its a reality. Players like sachin were comparing an odi victory with a test victory and the result is here.
Tendulkar needs to go, this is 101th time i will say it. He is playing swann and panesar as if its some murali and warne combination bowling at him. im very dissapointed with this team, and non of our middle order hv a justfication to be in the team. no matter wat there record is for 20years.
its quite dissapointing to see almost all players being dragged out of team. dravid, then laxman, now tendulkar, soon sehwag and dhoni and we r not far off seeing gambhir go as well. if tendulkar is so passionate he needs to score, and not be a passenger. and average of 21 in the series so far, only ahead of dhoni says it all.
and thou as an indian fan since i have been hoping since 2011, i will hope again and hope that ashwin and ojha add a lead of 120-140. u never know.........
No its not Ashwins job to bat Viru but its every players job to show some fight and he has done this while others have shown little, so I give credit to him for this.
Ashwin apart, the Indian team looks extremely flat and at times a collection of strangers when in the field. The players are in my opinion now so much in 20/20 mode in terms of attitude, that constant pressure and the build of dot balls is something they cant handle.
Hope we knock em over early and have it won just before lunch.
but wanderer that is sending wrong messages to our youngsters. now he will be selected in the next match when he cant pick a single wicket. we r not going to win in nagpur if we cant pick wickets simple.
