No being positive about our new manager. Seeing as you still think coyle is a good manager and should not have been sacked I don't expect you to get it. I remember you telling me coyle would prove me wrong at Bolton Wanderers football club and that you would then shove that down my throat.
You mentioned Megson enough during Coyles time. Don't be a hypocrite.
Confusing me with other posters again
Must have misread your tweet to LH.
In fact I didn't you clearly state coyle shouldn't have been sacked.
Sorry Petrov, I should have quoted you in my reply. I was referring to the Megson comment by you. The other two are absolutely correct.
remember the good old days when we were last on match of the day?well we are last championship game on the football league show now!
Maybe it's time you took some of your own advice CEF and moved on from defending coyle. You have been wrong about him so many times maybe you have to admit defeat and accept he is rubbish.
The club has made a positive move removing a manager who was systematically damaging the club.
Remember the good old days when we could mathematically get Rowbots 100 point tally?! That ended yesterday.
The best we can hope for is a playoff place, but there is really not a lot of evidence to believe that will happen.
Petrov - yet again you type the word 'Coyle' first on the match day thread. I haven't defended him on here. I just told you to move on, like I have.
Till we meet again.....
Have a good Christmas Guys.
can we blame megson for the mess we are in?he signed zat knight.also sammy lee must take some blame after all he signed bogdan!seriously its a big mess got to give freedman the chance to rebuild the club.if we are going backwards in oct/nov next year then i will change my mind.
Benny - I haven't seen any DF bashing on here. Bolton Nuts is where to go for that!!!! My only issue is the constant references to ex-managers after defeats. And there is also an element of over-reaction after both wins and defeats. This league is mighty tough. There are probably a couple of teams better than the rest and a couple of teams worse than the rest. The remaining 20 teams are so similar in standard it is impossible to know what is going to happen week on week.
CEF you never made this clear post Megson. I never saw you post similar comments when people like HH posted long winded anti Megson rants. The fact is your peeved that anyone dares criticise Coyle that's all it's simply about.
Until the playing staff is altered and DF has had time you will have to stomach the appropriate and relevant questions of Coyle's ability to manage.
That's because post-Megson was amazing. No-one talked about him until the Sheff Wed stuff. It was only last season, when Bricks started posting Megson v Coyle stats that anyone mentioned him.
You seem to have removed Jan 2010 to April 2011 completely from the record books.
P.s. HHS never posted long-winded anti-Megson rants. He wrote one of the best articles ever written on this site. He has consistently followed up his reasoning, and I believe he is correct.

Not at all. Coyle got a good squad that was under performing playing well. Megson had to go as the atmosphere had become toxic mostly his fault. Sadly coyle then went on to dismantle it resulting in relegation and what we see before us. After seeming like the right man he most definitely was not. Sentiment and his ability to spout nonsense kept him in a job beyond when he should have been.
This debate about whether coyle was any good is the only thing that needs to be moved on from. I am tired of going round in circles on this. We have been arguing about this for 12 months and at most points you have been wrong. Therefore I am not going to continue it. Coyle got the sack due to his lack of ability to manage its time you accepted that fact and moved on!
I have accepted that Coyle has gone. I have moved on and am now giving DF my full support. I don't keep bringing Coyle up. I didn't comment on this thread until you mentioned him.
It would help to know who you were on BBC606. After all, the Megson era and OC's period of success all took place on there. You arrived on here under your first user id, telling us that OC was going to Villa. You then got moderated and created this user account.
Afternoon folks. I don't think either Coyle or Megson have much to do with conceding 5 goals against a team who are bottom of the league yesterday. I',m behind Freedman, but he got it badly wrong yesterday. Nobody is suggesting our players are of league two or non-league standard, so he should have done much better with the resources available.
I know you have accepted he has gone you can't accept that this mess is the reason he got sacked and mostly caused by him. That's the reason you feel the need to defend him.
I agree with that statement. Yesterday was poor but I hope that it was a blip and that his first focus will be to change the personnel at the back.
Why does there have be to someone to blame? What does it matter?
The club need to move forward.
I just can't undertake how we beat Charlton after thy want unbeaten for almost 10 games an then we Los to bottom of the league.

I don't take a lot of the BWFC posts on that site seriously, CEF. There are very few posters on there who actually watch the games. That sad old fart who runs it was trying to argue with someone who had been to the Ipswich game that we were outplayed the other week, based on the BBC stats alone.
LH - very true. I just go on now and then for a bit of Natasha-baiting

TRR - every week there are 3 or 4 results that defy belief. It is a waste of your time to even try and fathom out this league.
We may be bottom of the league but we are in a false position. You also need to realise that the Championship can be as tough as the Premiership.
Thorney - to be fair the majority of Bolton fans on here do know that. I'd go so far to say that the Championship is tougher than the Prem. Not in terms of quality at the top, but in terms of unpredictability and how closely matched 90% of the teams are.
