Just imagine where we'd be with a real manager in charge
We'll swap you Downing for Will Hughes and Mason Bennett
Yeah just imagine 666....with a real Manager here we wouldnt of seen any of these players.
Downing £50m and we loan Hughes and Bennett for 10 years...DEAL?
He did buy em though POTY and I've always said I'd pass judgement when he had his team, and I'm liking what I see, maybe you as POTY should reign in the overt bashing and give Us more of why you won the crown, especially after a few good results
Downing
We've spent four years getting rid of expensive mistakes, we're not about to help you with yours!
Backo: Clough's been fortunate to drop lucky with the academy and has had to blood the youngsters due to the financial constraints of GSE.. He's as responsible for bringing them through as he was for getting shot of the deadwood, ie not at all.
Clough out
He can't IGOR, he's backed himself into a corner now and refuses to admit he was wrong
Not 'wrong' Milf, there's just a blip at the moment due to Your Nige paying attention to (my?) constructive criticism.. It won't last, he's too useless.
Oh, my mistake, sorry to have troubled you.
It takes a big man alright.....................how tall are you
Backo: Clough's been fortunate to drop lucky with the academy and has had to blood the youngsters due to the financial constraints of GSE..
................................................................................
It's not 'luck', it's strategy, with GSE & Clough committing resources to it. I'm sure there are other managers at Derby who have not seen the Academy as a priority and wanted the money spent instead on players who could hit the ground running.
Clough's been here four years now and it's taken time to turn the Academy round.
...because the cost of the academy equates to signing players 'to hit the ground running'..?
GSE's policy, but Clough's kudos..?
Blinkered much..?
You seriously think Clough had no input into this strategy 666?
You're deluded man.
666....so Fergie dropped lucky at Man Utd then did he?.......CLOUGH IN....and 666 knows it now
None, Milf
This is the bloke who's previous inability to promote Burton was solidly built on getting his out-to-pasture mates to come semi-retire at that club for a while: he's a yes man and a surname, that's it.
Yeah, you're right 666, there was me thinking Glick was playing with his Newton's Cradle - now there's a euphemism - in the office when he was actually coaching Will Hughes
Your Nige keeps getting compared to SAF: why?!!
Oh, because neither got sacked early. Great comparison
Who was coaching Hughes, Cap'n? Not Wassall then?
You're trying to use the well-run Burton Albion, promoted 2 levels and into the football league for the first time, due 99% to Your Nige's stewardship, as a stick to beat him with?
By stick I mean a flimsy half-eaten sausage.
Unbelievable.
he's a yes man and a surname, that's it.

You wanna tell a few other Managers that secret 666...a few would love to have a team like Our Nige has built...
Your Nige keeps getting compared to SAF: why?!!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Didnt he drop lucky with The Academy at Man Utd then?...
Ah yes, the well-documented "youth first" policy at Burton Albion that Your Nige implemented
It was closer to a glue factory than a youth production line and you know it.
Regardless of their fall from grace, Clough is keen to take up the challenge. "I know the club inside-out. It has always had a special place in mine and my family's heart and I know that this is one of the most exciting jobs in football," he said.
A manager for over a decade, this will be only Clough's second job as he had stayed with Burton Albion since his appointment as player-manager in October 1998. When he took over Burton were in the Southern League and he leaves them en route to league football for the first time in their history, 13 points clears at the top of the Blue Square Premier League.
Derby County's chairman of football, Adam Pearson, is hopeful Clough's appointment will be the last one he makes for some time. "I do believe Nigel is very much his own man but he does want to create his own dynasty at the club. He's already spoken of a 10-year plan,"
