I agree with this in part. There's already a kind of incestuous hierarchy on ja606 where being a regular poster makes you 'better' than an outsider. The amount of abuse that new users get on here is ridiculous, especially if you're trying to grow the website. I'm sure a lot of new posters have left because their arguments get ignored and they just get called a wum for no reason.

Looks far too complicated this new forum. Cannot we keep the forum as just a simple forum please. I do not want to join Mensa just to post a football comment.

Also the various board bans which a lot of posters are currently under, including my goodself seems very harsh to be a lifetime ban. Surely it should be lifted after say six months. It cannot be good for certain boards to have absolutely no opposition supporters allowed because they have all been banned, ie the Liverpool board.

Woah....How the hell have I been lumped in with RGK? I find that offensive and challenge you to trial by combat. To be honest, if Admin wants to offer me a job at Jalob, I'll take it. I'm having a shíte day at proper work

Also surely one of the reasons to post this article is to receive some genuine feedback from the people who are going to be your consumers admin. Ignoring their opinions isn't a great way to go about ensuring its popularity. I'm sure you've put a lot of time and effort into it, but things can still always be improved. There's still a loong way to go before it's a a popular website. need to fill it with content first.

My two cents re the website- Pretty key point but not convinced by the jalob name. If i saw it on a search engine I wouldn't think it had anything to do with football. At a minimum you need to have something on the title page explaining what it stands for. What's an L.O.B ?
Also is it all going to just be peoples' opinion pieces, or is it going to have actual objective news? I don't trust people from here to give anything less than hugely biased and questionable articles, but i may be wrong.

I was being amusing. I do appreciate your point, but we wouldnt have created the new site if we felt it to the detriment of ja606. A major problem we need to address is the incestuous nature of ja606 which needs fresh posters and new members. So wee need to tap into google news and places like that.

Constructive criticism is good. Not quite sure about Sandy's claims that you need to be a part of mensa to use it..

It does look like it's in a prototype stage, the website, but it's got good potential. I enjoy surfing through sites ilke Squawka and goal.com(some of their pieces aren't as bad as made out.._ and if JaLOB cold become something like that it'd be a success. I do also hold reservations about the name, but then if you want to continue the ja brand/theme then I can't think of much better

A large number of new posters are just that. Moronic wums whose sole purpose it to disrupt, so i appreciate hackles hoping up any-time people see "a long time reader, first time poster" article. That said there have been occaisions where new posters have been hounded for little reason.

The plan is to keep it fairly neat and stacked as opposed to the fashion of magazine layouts. Which we aren't that keen on.

I agree about the username, all the best websites that have articles like this you can usually attribute directly to fitba.
