If you think of billy's, and the forest's owners behavior, they deserve each other.

I really hope it implodes Tom and it is likely but it could also go the other way.

I don't like the man, but he is good at motivating the players and has a knack of bringing the best out of them. In the short term he is great; but he will never build a club for the long term.
I will support him all the same.

There is an old saying never go back. Kenny Dalgleish ignored it to the cost of his reputation if not his pocket. No matter how good a coach you are in the final analysis it is about having the players. Any manager starting now only has the loan market so it is unlikely that Billy Davies can sign who he wants.

I cannot see that having Billy Davies and Fawaz in charge is going to lead to anything but friction. Sort of irresistible force and immovable object and neither will give. In the end I can only see an exit for Billy Davies somewhat richer than when he arrived.

Billy's getting 3 and half years money for 6 months work

This is the thing; he was backed before.

'Being backed' is subjective; I bet Nigel Clough would love to have been backed the same as Billy was last time, and Blackpool come to that

Spart I agree that the appointment looks like a car crash. I doubt Fawas was aware of Davies prior the twitter bombardment. How many of those tweeting would have been warning of Billy's reputation? None.
But whereas no club has employed Davies in two years despite an excellent CV, Fawas, possibly through ignorance could have played a blinder.

It's hard to separate one's feeling on why one does not like Billy. But for me it happened after he won the play-off finals and he did not immediately get on with the job of finding premiership players. The other two promoted clubs had a 3 week start on this task. Instead he spent 2 weeks arguing about his own contract. We finished up with the lowest points total ever. That was it as far as I was concerned. He showed he thought he was bigger than Derby County. He wasn't and he isn't/ He demonstrated the same attitude at Forest.

Maybe he learned a lesson then, maybe he didn't. Does a leopard change it's spots.

I wonder what he Doughty family think about this.

Stop panicking big fella.

Billy is a walking bombsite and so is his boss. This is going to be hilarious.

Everyone had forest down as a laughing stock, well they ain't seen nothing yet.

WHY has it taken Billy Davies 20 months to be re-employed?

Sorry rameses, my dislike of BD is nothing to do with Forest. It was at Wembley, with the team celebrating victory over the Baggies, that he decided to try to steal the limelight by creating doubt over whether or not he would even be at Derby in August.

Then he went on holiday for two weeks before trying to sign some premier league 'quality' (e.g. Andy Todd ). Then he managed to engineer his own dismissal (rumours of blows between him and Adam Pearson).

(understatement of the year coming up)

Then it went downhill

It also begs the question why didn't Fawaz tempt him previously, prior to SOD, Mcleish etc?..

Sorry, don't buy this 'Mark Arthur' nonsense. Was Fawaz afraid of him - or just afraid of making his own decisions? Is that why the good Dr is there now - to make Fawaz's decisions for him?

You're completely right OOE It's a load of fabricated cr.ap made up by people who try and think of new and wonderful reasons to keep the anti MA bandwagon rolling.

They actually got on quite well. Nigel Doughty was entirely responsible for Billy losing his job 1st time round

Agreed, Hoons (that's a first )

People are looking for reasons at the moment, and they take anything that sort-of looks as though it might fit and give it a good thump uintil it does. It's like a child doing a jigsaw but they are all wrong.

ALIENS!!! Forest are owned by aliens!! Come on sheeple (hang on, that's not right) I mean come on treeple. You know there is no other explanation. Fawaz is from Aldebaran. Soon he will metamorphose into a foul, brain-sucking lee....

Sorry folks, I've been drinking.

And I voted for Kodos.

Lads this is the gods honest truth, I saw Martin Taylor in town today. I asked him what he thought about billy Davies going back to the red dogs. He laughed and said, it's a match made in heaven!!

I wouldn't worry Rameses, O'Driscoll was doing a pretty good job and the Al-Falafels soon put a stop to that
