As far as I know he has got a 25 M EUR clause in his contract. We pay a bit more but in installments over three years.

In fact I saw a breakdown for Torreira that actually calculated we will pay nothing against this years budget for him. £45m incl wages over 5 years. £9m against this seasons budget. £9m is the money we save in wages for Santi Cazorla and Wilshere.

Remember that we can go £50m excess of what we are already spending on the balance sheet today.

Thought Pavon looked quite exciting whenever I saw him last night, although admittedly only half paying attention.

Lozano looks very good, also Malcolm.

Lots of options, I'll be disappointed if we don't get someone half decent

So many links to wingers. Its obvious we are going for one. Which suggests Emery is likely to go back to 4-2-3-1.

We've been linked to Lozano for a while. Obviously nothing can gain real traction until (with any of out winger targets) until the world cup is over.

But i'm sure talks have already taken place behind the scenes.

Also, imo we'll only get a winger when

a) We've sorted out another CB
b) when we've generated extra cash from sales

The amount we spend on the winger depends on how much cash we generate from sales. Pretty sure we have the cash, but it's reluctance to over-extend ourselves with no CL cash to cover costs.

That's why we've got the bread and butter purchases sorted early. Sales will go next. If we get some decent cash from those sales it will dictate how far we can spend on that winger.
