You see firstly in order to sink a boat the size of the titanic you would need a considerable amount of load. We talking comfortably in excess of 5,000,000 tons. Therefore upon application of a force of that magnitude to the side entrance(s) would result in an instant imbalance of the structural stability of the Titanic. Equilibrium of forces is required thus the boat would simply tilt over on its side and upon removal of excessive load with form back to a more structurally stable position.
Of course the load could be dropped in from the top, but given the mass we are dealing with an impact force would generate a substantial amount of kinetic energy and momentum this puncturing the base of the hull. The mass would pass through to the bottom of the ocean while compromising the hull integrity. New hull designs would limit the damage due to isolated hull segments which would limit the levels of water entering the ship. However the titanic famously had no such design therefore upon water entering the base of the hull it would continue until the structure would begin to sink so eh you’re probably right my fat arrrse would have sunken the titanic you brown faced fish stinking Bengali monkey caant.
