Personally Kos' decision to refuse to fly out to the US was wrong.

Unless a promise was broken.
Knowing how we handle the Sven and Ramsey situation, I'll hold on before making any comment

It's wrong either way

The club made it worse with the statement. Was reactionary and aired our dirty laundry unnecessarily

I don't think it did. The club had to say something. If they came out and made up a reason, like he was ill/injured etc, what if Koscielny's camp contradicted them publicly? It would have been embarrassing PR. We couldn't take that risk.

Secondly, with the amount of insiders and leaks there are nowadays, this information would have made it out one way or another, so the club may as well have dealt with it instantly.

Also, if a player is acting unprofessionally, I don't think it's unreasonable to call them out and shame them for it. The behaviour of footballers gets excused a lot, and it's about time we took a firm stance on players who try to do what they want without thinking about the consequences.

I'm sick of us being seen as pushovers.

Letting it known publicly that he refused to travel makes us look like pushovers

Should have just said regrettably won't be travelling and left it at that

I know it's only a first match of pre-season for the senior players, but why does the phrase 'well off the pace' for Kolasinac come as no surprise whatsoever

Does it? To me, it looks like we are making it clear a player has stepped out of line and we are not going to succumb to his demands.

There is a lot to criticise Arsenal for, but given the situation, I don't think the club have done much wrong.

Difference of opinion Samir

I think letting it known publicly that our captain is defying us makes us look worse than managing the situation and sorting it out internally

We now have nobheads like Giroud chirping in

Depends what comes of it I suppose

If we resolve the issue and get an apology from Kos or a big fee to see him leave then maybe it makes us look strong and resilient

Could get messy from here though, what if we can't sell him or get him to back down?

Yeah, but people moan the club doesn't communicate enough with the fans, to let them know what's going on etc.

Can't have it both ways.

Exactly. On the face of it, Kos is in the wrong and he might well be. But there has been some dodgy dealing with the new directors and few things which are not crystal clear so I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to it.

Do you think this petition would have been created/signed if Gazidis and Wenger were still in charge?

I've never really been too concerned about the club's communication tbh

I support a tough stance on Kos but wasn't happy with the statement
