Onana would be a more natural replacement for Partey. Think Sambi did very good in preseason in his position. And you also have Elneny.
Box-to-box however is pretty much only Zinchenko. Xhaka did well going forward but Leicester used that space behind him to get out of a forward press. Zinchenko covered but we lost too much possession.
We have been linked to Paqueta, Savic, Tonali (who could cover DM and CM) and Tielemans as box to box.
That Mara kid from Southampton looked great in that position this weekend.

For anyone thinking that playing Xhaka in advanced midfield is something new, just look at the white board end of last season.
Also Saliba is LCB behind Gabriel. Exactly what I suggested a few months ago. Gabriel is the weaker of our CBs because of his lack of technical ability on the ball.
What do people think of the leadership team?

I think all that leadership stuff is bull tbh. Odegaard is cap. I think Arteta wants to keep Xhaka involved especially if we are going to replace him soon on the pitch.
