I mean we took a risk on him at the price we got him, he's shown that he was worth that and some more though.
He's also got a good contract length, young for a keeper so could realistically last 10 years for his next buyer & he is good enough to be keeper for a club that challenges for the league and he's likely only going to get better.
Obviously publicly knowing his situation won't help but we should really be making profit.
Any other club would get more for him
Isn't that a bit premature, pp? We haven't got an offer for him. It's only been established that he still wants to leave.

Tbf most half decent pundits gave us credit for the approach, if not enough. First team to stop City scoring at home in like 58 games or something?
But yeah lots of OUTRAGE that we dared not go all out attack and concede 5 goals to the current English, European and World champions!

I was happy with a draw before the game even kicked off. But there are 3 or 4 on this thread who always want to spin it negatively. That's how you can tell they don't support Arsenal. And that is reflected in the punditry as well. Closet Liverpool fans in the main!

City were there for the taking. Would have liked us to be more positive but still a great result. I had this as a loss before game, so it's a bonus point.

Should have exploited City with their weakened £200m defence. How can you expect a €90m defender to perform in the PL?
posted 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Ironically, they were stronger without Stones. Liverpool were exploiting his walkabout in midfield all game.

Yep, shows a massive lack of understanding I think. We made City look toothless with our approach......suddenly pushing everyone up would have made them look a different beast
posted 3 weeks, 6 days ago
It is true though that a point suits City more I would say, Pep will really fancy them to take a few more points than us in the last 9 games, but not much we can do about that. If Trossard had squared that ball to Marti could have been a completely different story

To be honest I thought we would have a chance to win this game. Yes, it's City. Yes, we havent won there for 8 years.
A draw in the end reflected what happened I think.
But we got the better chances, so there was more in it.
Arsenal need to think bigger.

Arteta made us tactically variable. We can play in more than one tactical set up. That's god.

It wasn't like City peppered our goal and just couldn't score
I know there's a sort of Big Club Vs Underdog thing sometimes but when Newcastle came to the Emirates last season and did everything they could to "win" 0-0 they were praised for earning a point

That's why I see the criticism coming from closest Liverpool fans. If we had attacked them and lost, it was one less competitor, but if we had won? Liverpool don't really consider us worrying competition compared to City. And this is despite the tonking we gave them at the Emirates.
