I don't know how the release clauses are structured in Germany. Spain requires the entire amount up front. We don't seem to be negotiating with the club for different payment terms, so Arsenal could probably the whole amount!

Spain is different - the buy out clause is between the club and the player and only the player can buy it out. It is law they have to have a buy out in each players contract.
Germany is same as UK.

Oh. So Arsenal will give the money to Sesko to give to Leipzig. I suppose that's why Sesko's decision was so important and why John Cross made such a big deal about it.

They seem to have a limit of about £20m a player. So probably £3.5m
