Think with Suarez we're trying to run before we can walk. Hope I'm wrong, but wouldn't be at all surprised if he ends up going to Real, (I think he will surely leave Liverpool this summer) and we'll be left with Giroud as our main striker next season.
We need to start improving the squad, but at a more realistic pace.
We have far more problems elsewhere than Giroud.
Sorry GT, but we don't have the luxury of wishing/hoping Giroud will be better next year. He is a problem and needs to be addresses quickly.
========================================
This is exactly the problem. We are just praying that miraculously all Giroud's issues will go away. No evidence to support this hypothesis.
I know he's still young, but I think for what he's done so far at Arsenal Ox is well overrated by most Arsenal supporters.
Been a waste of money so far,
We have far more problems elsewhere than Giroud.
----------------------------------
Agreed, but he's still a massive problem. I would rank our problems areas with:
1. Defensive Midfield.
2. Striker
3. Attacking Midfield
4. GK
5. Centre back
Ox just needs game time though. He'll come good within 2 years I think, far better than Theo
Ox is 19 years old and didn't get much game time last season. Now with Gerv off, i expect him to step up.
Pete, we've gone from Ljungberg to Walcott, Pires to Gervinho, Vieira to... erm... erm.,. nope, can't think who's meant to have replaced him.
If Higuain would have played upfront for us it wouldnt have changed anything on the results. Fact.
No, I dont want to blame Higuain for his average performances. He has class.
GT? Why don't you follow me on Twitter?

What did we pay for him again? £15m was it? So if you're right Chris, that will have been four seasons to start getting any real value out of him.
Now I know Wenger has been right about players in the passed, but has ever seen four years into the future and been prepared to pay so much money for it here and now?
Not that I can remember. Just as we can't rely on hoping for Giroud to turn it round, we shouldn't have to for a £15m youngster either.

yeah Chris I agree with you. There is no guarantee at all. Not with Suarez or without him. But if we want to get the best of our players we need to add depths. And I mean quality.
I have absolute no problem to bench Giroud if someone comes in and is better and score a lot of goals for us. Sanogo right now is not better.
Gt why cant you just admit giroud is sh.t?
_______
Why cant you see that Ramsey is useful at times?
GT? Why don't you follow me on Twitter?
At one point I give up. Will follow you again.
And in the meantime we're rumoured to be taking two youngsters on trial this week.
Oh and close to signing a 19 year old CB.
"We can do that and much more"

I think his attachment and signing to Ox was in big part due to him being English. It was at the time when we heard the mumurings of "English core" and stuff.
Brilliant article on the telegraph on Wenger. Absilutely hate what's happening to Arsene and would love nothing more than for him to win the fecking lot.
As I said then, he wasted money on him.
To think that we signed Campbell and Gervinho in the same window too...
Pathetic stuff.
