Arteta said it was meant to be Ethan. But obviously he wasn't ready in begining Sep last season. So he tweaked the formation to 4-4-2 using Trossard/Havertz to drop into midfield on either side. Havertz used to drop behind Saka and Trossard behing Martinelli. Didn't work all that well.

The club have been speaking to his reps the past few weeks. The club hold genuine interest in Noni but talks are not advanced on personal terms. No proposal made to the player either as of today.

Club officials have denied any bid being made.

I am talking about now. If you want to talk of 'Roman' times there are different reasons. Dj has pointed them out before like no real rivalry unlike with Spurs and players of a good calibre (when Chelsea used to compete for top trophies) wanting to stay in London.

Arteta fancies some of their players. It's much easier getting a player out of Chelsea than some of the clubs abroad.
