He didn't do well managing. That entire episode of not allowing players to drink water in extreme hot temperatures, for example. Sounds like someone who hates individualism and egos, so goes overboard in discipline.
Waiting for Artitler comment from Peebs.

But they had a few winless streaks, and were sat at mid table. I'm sure if the results were different they wouldn't have sacked him
This is interesting though
"Heinze wanted his teams to be attacking, while also remaining disciplined. Player movement and the creation of triangles in key parts of the pitch to establish numerical advantages were crucial."

German/Italian extraction? Parents run off to Argentina after the war? Blonde, blue eye, doesn't look South American, Heinze surname. Script writes itself!
@HandofArsenal
My understanding as of yesterday night was that talks remain positive between Arsenal and Sporting CP.
Gyökeres told the president yesterday he wont be returning to pre-season again.
Very important to stress no club to club agreement yet. Arsenal have back up options.
A lot of people have been quoting the €70m figure. Basically, his agent was supposed to have agreed a clause which gave Gyokeres a €10m bonus on any fee over €60m. But since then, 'the president of Porto' has denied any such agreement existed and is demanding €70m. This is why Gyokeres went on strike and told them that they reneged on their contract, so why should he ever play for them again?

Villa want £60m. That's Sporting's asking price for Gyokeres. So why would Arsenal do that?

*Sporting not Porto.
The person who agreed the deal with Gyokores is no longer at Sporting, he's at City now
Doesn't matter though. He was the club officer at the time. The problem is that a lot of agents don't mind doing things on a wink and a nod to save tax.

Arsenal actually make me anxious. They better get the attacking signings right
Arteta done it again, welcome Norgaard. Gyokeres will make a Scandinavian trio At the emirt
Arteta pushing for Madueke.
Honestly, he has some of the worst iq for attacking players.
Madueke is coming in to play left wing. Absolute madness
Gykoeres and Madueke are both in talks before any exits. I think that indicates they don't start. Now of course it could be different if they come in and outperform or if there are injuries.
Gykoeres aint gonna start if he signs?
Nah. Arteta is too wedded to his system and Havertz imo. But I do believe Havertz would be on a shorter leash with Gyokeres than Sesko.
