Have to wonder how Edu got his job. A lot of his signings were flops.

He did some good work.

But transfers, he was average. Always got the impression arteta was holding his hand.

Even the big money signings didn't do what expected on the tin.

Dont think Andrea Berta did nothing without talking to M. Arteta.

But he did move targets strategically. Got buy in from Arteta, but there was a concerted effort to buy players at the peak of their careers.

I case of VG and Eze it was easy. There was just not any competition. Players first choice.

Oh Really o'Reilly. Should be 1-1

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

O'Reilly miss even worse than Gyokeres in front of goal.

Edu would have signed Sesko and Fofana.

Edu would've spent all summer chasing Sesko, eventually caving into Leipzig because everybody and their dog knew he wouldn't have a back up lined up.

I don't think messing up negotiations was his biggest drawback. It was more his obsession with very untried players at exorbitant prices. Glad we missed out on Mudryk. It was Brighton model, but without the bargain buys. I am not surprised Nuno is not happy with his targets. Sambi, Taverez, Fabio Vieira etc.

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

Not saying Sambi, Taverez, Fabio Vieira etc are his targets for Forest.

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

Edu "signed" uns Martinelli.

To sign a bargain these days is very seldom and rare as other clubs dont sleep.

Mudryk surely would have been a signing that was with the agreement of all responsibles at Arsenal. At the price you also need an agreement from Josh.

How much did he sell Hutchinson for? And how much is he trying to buy him for forest? Hes good mates with the agent kia joorabchian.

To an extent, all these negotiators are a bit dodgy, but edu makes it so obvious.

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

When I remember it right it was the last year of Hutchinson's contract. So no choice to sell him if you want to get anything out of a nobody at that time.
