Zubi was okay for me. I had issues with Rice performance to be honest.

Rice also made some important tackles and won some duels. Midfield wasnt the problem. Marti was dreadful, Gyok got 0 service, Mads the best but didnt really create anything. Saka gets a goal today easily

that Wirtz lad looks pretty poor at least. GT told me he was the German Messi ffs

Three games played so far and in all games Liverpool had the right moment in time. They werent really convincing in all their games.

We will be up for a challenge this season. I have absolute no doubt about that. What I am more worried about is our injuries for all our main players.

Rice was the deeper one and Zubi played higher. Which messed it up completely.

He was pretty poor in all three games and played like he played the last games in the Bundesliga for Leverkusen. Dont know how that pan out for Wirtz in the PL. Have my doubts about him.

I wonder if Liverpool still go after Isak and Guehi. Hope the get cockey and think they don't need them.

Pretty much have to win our next 3 league games now. Liverpool will win their next 3 league games comfortably. Chelsea on matchday 7 may be the first game they drop points in.

Hardly. Peebs thinks we'll lose every game. I'm just saying we can't afford to be like 7 points off the top even this early in the season. We saw what happened last season.

With the defeat, the good performers don’t get credit. I thought as a whole the defence was quite good. Timber had a tough time, not his best especially in attack but still solid. Mosquera looks like a solid buy, definitely better than Kiwior. Calafiori had Salah on lockdown, really surprised.
Zubi wasn’t too bad but he has some weaknesses and it was his foul that lead to a goal, but it was a magical FK.
Rice was below his standard, his corners and free kicks just weren’t there. Then again when you rely just on set pieces, it’s inevitable deliveries won’t be 100% all the time. Merino is why we lost. Is he really a midfielder? Looks like another Havertz type situation.

Martinelli is a waste of space. Relegate him to the Sterling position. Has no confidence left. Madueke is a live wire, with not much end product but a good back up for sure.
Gyokores had no service which was to be expected.

How Eze didn’t start is a mystery (has Arteta said why?).
I have no doubt we would’ve won had Eze started. In the first half we had plenty of opportunities to create chances. Liverpool were a bit clueless.
