Mikel Arteta to TNT Sports on Odegaard:

“It is the same shoulder so he had to come off. He will do whatever he can from now until the UCL tie to make it but for now I dont know”

As expected, Eze is wasted on the wing

he did fine

He was fine but he is wasted there.

He would be elite in MF

Also, Madueke was excellent. If he can improve his final ball and add goals, he would be a real threat

Brighton not having a happy time. 1 down and 2 off injured.

Madueke reminds a lot of Walcott. Tons of pace but no end product.

Eze is the man. He took control of the midfield second half and looked so good. That with only one proper session.

Can't wait for Eze/Saka. Odegaard will appreciate them the most!

Walcott was a good player, plus watch again Madueke did provide good crosses and plays

Nothing found anyone pp. It's crossing for crossing sake. Contrast that to Eze and the goal. Set on a plate. At times its excellent to have a penetrative runner like Madueke, but he needs to recycle the ball more so we hold possession in the final third. That demoralises the opposition, even if it doesn't lead to goals every time.

I suppose it's the difference between watching it live vs a narrative from the media, who I am sure were going to eulogise him and Andersen (who was completely missing) after their superb England performances.

Arteta will work out a way of using him to add the end product.

Yes spot on. Don’t always have to take the man on, and early crossing sometimes is more beneficial. He has his own coach outside of Arsenal.
Against low blocks, Madueke will be very useful. Against open teams, he needs to more decisive.

Walcott had tons of end product.
