Hopefully Arteta has learnt his lesson. They lost the ball 25 times. Merino 12 times and Rice 13 times. And that was against a middling team, not Liverpool.

If Odegaard is definitely out, he will definitely go with the same MF

Arteta played 4-2-3-1 against Bilbao. I am sure he has enough coaches to tell him inviting Man City on to us when their weakness is their defence won't be a good idea.

Would like to see Ethan play in midfield against Man City if Odegaard is injured but I don't think that will happen.

Arteta doesn't trust Ethan yet to play, I think he's still concerned about this defensive duties but he did well against Forest

Arteta has to manage Ethan's minutes. I don't think he is ready to play two games in a week.

However, it is telling that our midfield has clicked when he has played.

In away games against better teams , we don't really create much as the emphasis is on defence so his performances get highlighted more

Seen a few people say his goal yesterday was a poor shot, poor keeping. He put it almost exactly where you are supposed to.

Saliba is fit. Arteta said he rested him because he didn't have full training sessions before the game.

That’s good news. Haaland does always score against us tbh, so probably no clean sheet this weekend.
