I expect Havertz will be eased in when he is coming back. VG will start in the PL I think.

We have 63 corners so far in the league. 15 more 2nd place Newcastle.
Are we becoming too fixated with set pieces.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If anything we need to fixate more. Dont even bother trying to score just whack it to the corner flag and try to win corners off the defender
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just feel that we are getting to a point where we have gone too far with the reliance on set pieces that it's going to be very difficult to go back to playing fluent, creative attacking football from open play.
The set pieces are a great tool to have and we are the best at it. However, I feel we being set up and designed to play for corners which is naturally going to hinder our overall open play game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I watched how we won our corners yesterday and not one of them we tried to win on purpose, I mean it was from all failed crosses or attempts at attack.
I would have an issue if we were not creating anything like last season but we are.
21/22 when City won the league with 99 points - 21 goals from set pieces
Liverpool (who came 2nd) scored 19 goals from set pieces
So most every club who wins the league has a lot of their goals through set pieces
Our attack does need to improve,I thought the 1st half we were very slow and laboured.

Tbh it was after an international break so it’s to be expected with that first half. Second half was a lot more fluid.

Funnily enough, City also took 58 minutes to score - and they were at home.
Chelsea were second best in the first half with Forest.
Newcastle were dogchit.
Most of our issues came from us giving the ball away, Gabriel twice, Timber, Eze. All were away for internationals, Gabriel over in Asia.

The newcastle game we created chances, just Pope decided to have a WC performance that day. Yesterday Fulham didn't have a shot on target either

it was a continuation of my response to Castor, he's saying that we rely too much on set pieces this season, we scored 2 goals from set pieces from that game but we created loads of chances

To claim a Spurs player as your man should be an immediate ban from the thread. Gunth was right to block you.

How is the commentator missing the studs into the knee ffs
If that was an Arsenal player it would have been talked about as a potential red.
