Thanks Rev, wasn't actually sure what went wrong.

What if they have full control and we have so many debt that they can't handle and become like Malaga.
Also what if they decide to leave and then we won't be able to handle any debt

He should think of all the ranches he could buy with that money.

I would die from happiness if this happened.

If this move comes to fruition, we are gonna get a fack load of stick from rivals fans We'd better prepare for the WUMfest.

We should be alright until their oil money runs out....

I'd like for the fans to still have a modicum of control.

That would make it even better.

Won't happen anyway so don't get your hopes up.

Bats it may do. This is much more concrete than all those stories of United, Spurs and Everton being taken over by Arabs

Kroenke won't sell, you just know he won't.

£350m profit though. If it's true I'd be shocked if he didn't take it.

IT WON'T BE LIKE MAN CITY.

FFP won't make that possible. It'll be more like United - expanding and making us a global brand, based around the whole 'Emirates' concept. We'd probably have spend about £25m ish a year in transfers, that sort of thing.

I can actually see it happening. Kroenke would make some cash, which, let's be fair, is all he cares about. The players would get a pay rise. The best players probably wouldn't be sold. And we'd probably win a few trophies.

The only loser is Usmanov, though. But if this was real, and he cared that much, he'd outbid them...

if you offer kroenke 350m. he will bite your hand off. thats a 350m profit aswell as he invested nothing.

My concernis who is it behind this. An "unnamed consortium" doesnt mean a lot. It could be anything from a speculatortrying to borrow money to buy the club to an oil billionaire wanting another plaything, it seems to be the thing in the middle east at the moment, particularly Qatar with middle eastern owners at City, PSG, etc. It could even be Usmanov using the consortium to get what hes been saying he wants - ownership of the club he (says he) supports.

Time will tell who it is and if its serrious.

Why would Kroenke not sell?

If he made THAT MUCH of a profit he'd have to take it. The only reason he'd decline is if you think he wants to own Arsenal because he loves us so much, and if you try and convince me that he does I may have to report you for WUMming.

Guys put yourself in his shoes: would you not sell up?

Oh I know, it'll seem like madness. But he still won't sell.

Probably waiting for Usmanov's increased offer.

posted on 2/3/13

Or he might not sell because he wants to protect his brand, he tries to portray stability, not buying and selling for a profit.
