I have no idea who your dad is, however I wanted to share my condolences. I recently lost a family member as well to Cancer and it was the toughest part of my life.

Jungle, glad you will still come on, the very best of this site has been demonstrated over the last couple of weeks.
My Dad passed away three years ago now and time is a great healer, I know it sounds like cheap words but it is very true.

Jungle - glad to hear you on again, take care fella and dont be a stranger! Your da's wish was for the old firm to play again hopefully sooner rather than later. And if nothing else this has shown the TRUE SPIRIT of friendship amongst old firm posters and Dundee United fans! He was a gentleman and even posters who were banned have donated, think this tells a great story!

I didnt know Jinkys age before this post .. turns out he is the same age as my dad .
I cant imagine what you are going through just now , i just hope you find some solace in everyone words , on here and in real life with what they say about your auld man

Writing on your thoughts on an anonymous forum can often be a very cathartic experience and can for some people be very helpful.
Although thanks to nights out its a bit less anonymous but the same still applies im sure.

The funeral was on Tuesday in Glasgow I think.
