MD don't even joke about it
Tino - I know right! Given the braindead way the writers come up with stories it would surprise me in the least.
I don't think they'll ever take the streak it's about the only record Taker has and it'll be a nod in his direction to let him keep it. Only thing is now there's atleast one match per mania card thats a gimme. As long as they can keep patching him up he'll keep on going I think, it must be a massive buzz for him the way kids mark out when they see him (quite strange that I loved him as a kid and now both my kids go mental when the lights go out)
Cena doesn't need the push but he his big money and as you say I can see him getting Vince to make Taker put him over

which is why my idea works
the only person I'd least like to see take the streak would be someone like Lesnar but they could build that rivalry nicely
should have added least like to see than Cena

Only person who could do it for me is Kane. Brothers, long history, could be sort of a 'revenge' for Kane after the housefire storyline. Could even go down the lines of keeping Paul Bearer's name involved where Kane could blame Undertaker etc

if anyone is going to end it they will have a physical presence

actually - the notion of an up and coming wrester ending the streak was the winner in a poll cunducted by TWZ: The Wrestling Zone which asked its customers to vote for best way to end the streak.
In actuality - the rookie isn't ending the streak, he is merely a sum of the parts that would bury him.
Why people are suggesting the likes of Lesnar, Rock etc - we've done the main players and they'ver had their career.
By the way, Tyson Kidd was voted by current WWE roster as the best up and coming wrestler in the entire industry.
You're laughing at someone who was the final graduate of the Hart Dungeon
Its like laughing at the next Messi
Dean Ambrose,Punk or Cena. You could make money with that match. Cena could turn easily with this match.
Metro - How many people have been dubbed 'the next Messi'? Dubbing anyone 'the next 'anything' is bollox.
The simple fact is Kidd hasn't really done anything in the last 30 odd months since he won the TTC. I know he's injured but surely he'd have been given a push by now if he is as great as you seem to think he is.

I mean literally - with ability
Everyone knows Tyson Kidd is one one of the best in ring performers. It's not one of those football gaffs but I can see why you would interpret it as such.
As for being pushed - ewrestling news revealed that prior to his injury, WWE insiders were lining up for a run as IC champ starting from... WrestleMania 29
Look at Ziggler, he has been there for nearly 10 years and is only just being pushed now
Metro - Ziggler and Kidd are the same age(ish) too I believe. Still think early thirties is too late to be given a push tbh.
Also Ziggler has only been part of the WWE Proper for 4 and a half years, since Sept 2008.

I never disagreed with this, you can have a physical presence and be up and coming, i wouldnt want the rock to end it and lesnar is a disgrace to the company.

yup im laughing at the thought of him taking on taker, I never once doubted with his talents, but it would just seem silly
if it was to be an up and coming talent to take out taker then i would want an up and coming talent that wasn't only 3 years younger than cena
Don't like the idea at all, in large part due to the lack of individuality of having all these huge stars band together for this one moment - as if all of them care about Undertaker's demise that much.
But also, i dunno if anyone else feels the same, but part of the appeal of Taker's streak since WWE turned it into a spectule is the feeling of isolation and loneliness about the challenger. Like this match is a rite of passage that'll define who he is win, lose or draw (almost like what HIAC used to represent). Obviously this angle would kill any sense of that.
As of right now, there is no-one. Had Cena lost clean to The Rock on Sunday, there would've been a window of opportunity to effectively use Taker's streak as a means of giving birth to the Cena heel character (which would've been a worthy conquerer - 10+ years of build), but that window has slammed shut.
cena beating undertaker would have been horrible and just caused more moaning

^ i disagree, but it's a moot point now anyway.

.....
But is there an individual worthy enough? In my opinion, no.
If they end the streak 'dirty' then the legacy status can remain, but it gives whoever ends it a push to 'prove' he is worthy of ending the streak. I remember seeing someone write that Roman Reigns would be a good candidate. To a certain extent I agree. If he progresses enough over the next 9 months then it could work, but I'm not sure him being solo and part of the shield (at the same time) would be possible.
He may not need to be solo.
I'd be so wary of having a young star go over Taker's streak. Unless they demonstrate the charisma of a Kurt Angle in his first year or the dominance of a Brock Lesnar it's just too risky rolling the dice on the potential benefits outweighing what you take away from Taker's legacy.
WWE will soon need to stop falling back on The Shield 'brand' if they wish to create stars out of these three. Both Ambrose and Reigns clearly have potential, and i've heard nothing but good things about Rollins aswell, but we're getting their personalities bleed out to us painfully slowly atm due to their association with each other in The Shield 'brand'. Nexus & Legacy are two examples of factions which suffered from an over reliance on their group as a brand rather than the individuals which comprised it.
I can't stress how critical an element that is to a group containing young stars.
What about someone like Bray Wyatt, or maybe not someone like him but someone with a similar gimmick? Don't know how much NXT you watch but that could be interesting?
