Kimi should be a double world champion as well but for McLaren incompetence
DRS is ridiculously powerful. Too powerful. The Ferrari looks very good this season, so Alonso can have no excuses.
for me it's :
1. Vettel
2. Alonso
3. Hamilton
4. button
5. raikonnen
6. rosberg
Btw what happened to kubica ? is he still hoping to come back ?
No. Raikkonen is better than Button.

I would agree with that. overall though F1 is a great package atm.
I'm not decided on the tyre aspect yet.
You are entitled to your opinion
For me there are two clear tiers
1) Alonso, Kimi, Hamilton (they have consistently shown that they can outperform their cars and have superb race craft)
2) Vettel, Button, Massa, Rosberg (when they have a decent package they are up there but when they do not, they are nothing special)
Most pundits and experts will agree with me
I prefer when teams chose their own tyres, the fight between Michelin and Bridgestone
It is nice to see that Alonso and Hamilton have mutual respect for each other and like themselves.
Just wish the zealots on both sides see that and stop the childish petty bickering
2) Vettel, Button, Massa, Rosberg (when they have a decent package they are up there but when they do not, they are nothing special)

You're entitled to your opinion, but this is incorrect.
What is incorrect about it?
Vettel is still up there even when his car isn't competitive. The other usually end up floundering in the lower mid-field. That may be a little harsh on Rosberg, but definitely applies to the other two.
Is the redbull ever not competitive? Last year it didn't have quali pace but had race pace and Seb is very reliant on his team making things happen. He's better than the other guys in the group I put with him for consistency but in terms of talent, I'm not convinced
Agree with that AFL.
There was nothing wrong with his car, but his drive from the pitlane in abu dhabi last year was about the best ive ever seen. The guy is clearly absoloutely top class and there are no grounds imo for concluding that any of the other current drivers are better than him.
To be fair ManUtdDaredevil, Kimi is a one time WDC due to McLaren incompetence....
Much as I've lost any resect I had for vettel after malaysia then he is in or around that top bracket. I'd actually have the top 5 F1 drivers around the order they finished today, possibly lewis higher up.
You are aware of how Alonso and Hamilton did in truly uncompetitive cars? Check the first half of 2009. If you are near the top, more often then not your car is decent.
To be fair ManUtdDaredevil, Kimi is a one time WDC due to McLaren incompetence....
======================
you could say that about so many drivers/ that's F1. vettell has won 3 wdc's so an argument that a driver is better because he is unlucky to have only won 1 is ridiculous.
one thing for sure though is that we are lucky as F1 fans to be able to watch so many quality drivers, and imo we should appreciate their skills and the enhancement they bring to the sport.
JPB, when JB was in the brawn and was faster than everyone else and looked the class of the field. Same with Vettel, he has had the fastest car on the grid since 2009 apart from a few races last year so we it is tough to honestly assess his abilities.
His drive in Abu Dhabi wasn't as impressive as JBs drive in Canada or Webber in China.
I agree that it's a bit unfair to Seb as it's not his fault his car is the fastest but when it isn't we don't see anything special from him like Alonso last year.
Also in Abu Dhabi he started in the pit lane and was able to make changes to his car's set up, the wing and gear ratios, that's why he was so good
JPB, Kimi should have won the world title but his McLaren was made of glass and he didn't finish races he was leading for most of the season.
I'm not belittling seb's achievements. Statistically he is impressive but talent wise, not convinced
Also in Abu Dhabi he started in the pit lane and was able to make changes to his car's set up, the wing and gear ratios, that's why he was so good
======================
So when was the last time a driver starting from the pitlane was in 5th place after half a dozen laps ?
You seem to have forgotten the safety car and other incidents that plagued that race
im not going to get into a pointless argument. I will observe though that it is very disappointing that people who had being crowing that vettell had never put in a stellar drive from the back just totally ignored it when he did exactly that.
ManUtdDaredevil, that rhetoric spouted by Ferrari last year was nonsense. That Ferrari was poor in qualifying, but competitive in race trim.
I'm not taking anything away from his drive in Abu Dhabi. It was phenomenal but again, remember he was able to change his set up, something others couldn't do
Agreed AFL, it wasn't as competitive as the RedBull though
