Webbo, i am glad you are being very considerate in your view for next year.

If he gets backed to the full, and I mean in Summer and Jan and we do not have a team like Newcastle did when they came down from the PL, then yes i would hope we could go for autos next year!

Also I will have that beer now

Agree with Caniggia on that one

Yes fair point. SBD assumes that because Billy got those points this season, he would have repeated it across the season. History suggests Billy's teams were very inconsistent and it's very unlikely that trend would have continued.

Canaggia - but those stats are over 26 games. Reflecting a good run, and (comparatively) a bad one as well. That should be a good sample. What is his point average in the earlier seasons for us. I bet it is not far off 2 per game (or 1.9 odd).

No worries SBD anytime

I do remember this though!

Can remember how close it was as well, dam it bale why couldn't you do a Ramsey and come to the CG!?

Remember Ramsey at Forest,? that was amazing especially in the game vs Derby, someone said he had a 100% passing record in that game

IT'S NOT AN ARGUMENT!!!

Wasn't an argument.

It was an "adult conversation"

Dirty B@stards for those thinking of something different for an "adult conversation"

I'm guessing this is what Webbo has in mind when he thinks of an "adult conversation."

Go to the last 10 seconds!

Best I could do with BBC footage but think it serves its' purpose

" Obviously, I think SOD had the harder job, as he had to experiment with a relatively new set of players to find the 'right formula'. BD had the benefit of knowing 'the strengths and weaknesses' of certain parties when he came in, so (arguably) that made it easier"

Sph, there's also an opposite view, that SOD built a team and bought players fitting his philosophy. Of course, they needed time to gel but it did take a while, especially after some dodgy formations/team setups SOD made.
Apart from a few players, BD had to take charge of a team not of his choice or, perhaps, philosophy and get them from the ramshackle they were, to play much better.
A true comparison could only be made if Billy had a chance to buy some players.

OR - fair enough, but we've had this all before. Wasn't Harding, Halford and Ayala down to Keith Burt? SOD seemed to be directly responsible for Sharp and Gillet. The fans probably got Pep back (although SOD would obviously have been up for that as well). It was all over the place at the start of the season, while SOD tried to work it all out.

SOD had no Cohen either.

SPH, Has Billy really been in charge for 26 games? I don't think it's a great sample to be honest. But we'll see next season when he has the full season plus the transfer windows as SBd says. I think if he's backed then we'll do well. However look at the clubs coming down. QPR could be strong. I'm certain Reading will challenge. I bet Wigan would be good in this league depending on the squad they hold onto. Who knows with Villa. Newcastle would walk the league! Then there's plenty other contenders from teams in the league now and one or two of the promoted sides will be strong too. Maybe Yeovil

In a way, if we stay in this league, next season will another rebuilding session, to some extent, for BDBD.
Can see some possible big changes - not so much as not to gel but Billy has form on rebuilding.
It will be interesting to see the whole Fawaz/BD relationship, going forward etc. If Billy gets what he wants, we/he need promotion - no question. That much is obvious.

Sorry Caniggia, you are right. BD has been in charge for 14 games (he's got 26 points!). Still a reasonable number of games, though. I am no crusader of SOD, or a BD finatic. Just trying to look at it all realistically.
