The way they rolled over for Sunderland proves there's something not right at the club.I hate Pardew,he's one arrogant tos-ser.

Blimey, it's quiet on the Geordie board eh?

Ashley's relationship with Dave Whelan i think would scupper any deal. Id take martinez as it goes though, at least he's a clear philosophy on how to play football instead of pardew. As fans we know we're not going to win stuff its a given following this club. All we want is to be entertained and for the most part of pardews tenure its been dull as anything. Even last year the majority of the season were ground out 1 goal wins (still impressive)

Business is business - Whelan hasn't stood in Martinez's way before.

I think he'd be effect for you - you definite have the raw materials there. Carr's scouting with Martinez's input would be a fine match.

Martinez will go back to Spain if Wigan go down. Malaga job is ready for him.

It'd be a shame to lose him from the PL.

What's the score with Malaga? Do they have money or not? It seems like one minute they are ready to splash out and the other they can't pay the players and have to sell

Yes, they were in Meltdown. But, Pelligrini steadied the ship. He is heavily linked with City to replace Mankini.Wise choice in my opinion.

what kind of payout is he going to get if the Barcodes sack him. Hasnt he just signed a 8-10 year contract?

Haven't they got a break clause?

Probably if they finish with less than X points or X position

posted on 1/5/13

Yeah of course there is a break clause! Numerous ones in fact. The one I heard is he gets 1 year payout on his basic contract. The contract he is on has a really low basic pay too, one of the lowest in the league and is full of bonuses. Basically the way Ashley does his business at sports direct.

that was a good comment.

It's a good way of doing it to be honest - why pay a carp manager millions for not doing his job properly?

If United are relegated, then Pardew is history.
If they remain in the PL, then he might be given
another chance. Simple as that!

Due to the fact that United are currently top of the Premier League, I don't think that they'll be relegated

Could they pay off his remaining 7 years of the contract.he got last season

Lucky Newcstle got away with a point. If Sunderland win their next game then it's all to play for..

Nothing lucky about having a competent goalkeeper and an incompetent linesman (although I don't think it was in I'm going to pretend it did anyway.)

posted on 4/5/13

Or a competent referee who would like to give penalties......but that was one hell of improvement over last week. Why against West Ham?

posted on 4/5/13

Not sure. We were good first half, second half we played for the point which for us in the position we're in was odd. Putting Dan Gosling on was even odder. Reid is a good player.

Andy, perhaps someone told to Alan pardew that Wigan were losing..hence, he don't want to take the risk and try to earn a point.

Reid is an excellent player. Hope he stays for long term.

posted on 4/5/13

Na he just tends to do that second half in every away game no matter what the score. Its why we've only won once away from home all season!

Good luck against QPR, get all the 3 points you needed.

Wigan and Sland will get 6 more points each from their remaining games. Norwich will get 3 points, Newcastle will lose their last two games.

I hope that you're right, marra
