said it b4....and i'll say it again...I don't want the guy to leave...purely as it always happens.....

soon as a guy gets to near or at top/world class he leaves us.......

I want him to stay and make us as TOP TOP side........

not fussed about money....i'm a fan....not an accountant....and moneys no good if ya can't attract similar top class players.......

You sound like bale will go mate? Although ill be miffed he's gone, I can't see levy letting him go..yet, by deal, FIFA14 cover, he's also signed up for a new lucozade advert, times sqauare banner...think he will give us one more year, not sure I believe real have the money quoted either.

Sorry, but there is a lot more than Bale needed to mount a title challenge.

if he wants to go, then get madrid to hit 100m and then sell him.

if he doesnt want to play for spurs any more then fack him off.

One current rumour ...

90m + Coentrao being offered.
Levy to bite if they up it to 100m.

Accelerating new WHL is another benefit of selling (some of that money must help) .

i'll go there and put the fackin breaks on for a yr.....then ask for a move after......on big big wages....

I think some fans are seriously underestimating the impact £85m could have for Tottenham Hotspur.

they could still that if he moved

junction 8 - completely agree with your sentiment. As a fan, I want to see the best players and Bale is one of the best I've seen in 30 years of going to the Lane. I don't want us to sell but even if we do, it's not the end of the world. We can have a good year, especially if we use the funds to strengthen significantly like Napoli have done since selling Cavani.

i wouldn't take any players in a swap tbh. player swap deals don't tend to work out unless the player wants to play for you otherwise they will feel there being forced of there old club.

85mill is huge money for spurs.

first things first we can increase our wage structure - the key thing that attracts players (wages)

secondly we can compete for big name players on transfer fee.

thirdly we have plenty of money available to sign replacements (just remember that michu was 2mill, benteke was 8mill, bale was 10mill, there ARE loads of players out there that can have a huge impact at spurs for not very much money!)

fourthly, any left over can accelerate new whl, which really is the absolute key to our long term development.. the sooner that is delivered the better

finally, if bale wants to go to madrid it means he doesnt want to be at spurs, and therefore he just wont be the same happy, buzzing player he was last season. if he truly wants to go, then set a huge asking price, and if its met, sell him.

you could buy 10 coutinhos with that

if/when HE comes out and says that fine....sell him.

junction, whats the difference in him saying it and him feeling it?

what matters is his mindset. if he wants to leave he might not say anything, but he still wants to be elsewhere.

if he comes out and says he wants to leave then it massively weakens our bargaining position, so i personally hope whatever he is feeling he keeps it to himself

Difficult to feel positive if he does leave. Sure we'll get paid handsomely, but Bale is one of a kind, irreplaceable and the kind of player that we'd never be able to attract from another side.

We're a selling club according to Jamie Rednapp.

He thinks that as soon as Lewis and Levy has a chat, the deal will be struck.

I can see that happening...

as he is now, yes...but who is to say that one of our current group wont be a superstar... chadli for all we know might thrive on the bigger stage.... same with young holtby,

spurs are not a club that buys players in their prime... we buy young players with bags of potential, and turn them into superstars.

unfortunately until we get that new stadium, and get that constant larger income that allows us to compete for wages and transfer fees consistently on top players in their prime, then that is the model we have to follow.

not to us....to the club......no one knows wether hes told the club that or not.....

most even slightly legit sources seem to intimate he's happy enough to stay for 1 more yr......

if hes told darth he wants out for sure....then ok....sell him.......

but no facker had beta moan when we don't see another player like him for another 30 odd yrs........

Jamie Redknapp is just a Liverpool loving moron, he would never admit to Liverpool being a selling club, even though they are.

He still thinks Liverpool are a massive club, they are not.
