I think we've played quite well. Kept the ball well and some nice passages of play. We do need to up the ante in the final third though.
oh and Zaha excited me
first 30 minutes we were impressive, last 15 wigan came into it more
The worrying thing is for me, there's only 1 player capable of scoring goals on a regular basis in this team and he scored the goal for us today.
Welbeck doesn't score and with Zaha it remains to be seen but he didn't score that many last season in an inferior league. And Carrick, Clevs Giggs or Anderson if he was starting don't score goals either.

City got outcoached by Wenger, what an embarassment
United need the 2nd goal asap.
Manchester City...remind me who they are again?
Oh yes, the team that has won 11 trophies in 50 years

Rooney mustn't stay. Rooney must go. Rooney's been on Facebook with a non-so subtle slating of Moyes.
We'll buy a good player or two and we'll be fine when we're Rooney-less.
I can't believe anyone can be silly enough to think Rooney leaving with no replacement would work for United in any way.

Hernandez and Rooney can both score goals on a regular basis

Think we've played pretty well.... Carrick and Clevs controlling things.
Sure, the final 3rd, we haven't done much... But Wigan were sat back for 30 minutes. I think it will open up in the 2nd half and we can use the possession to better effect.
Robb, what did the fat say

People don't seem to realise why Wigan have more possession as the game goes on and that is a designed tactic by United to sit back just a little to let Wigan come forward a bit more so we can get in behind when these spaces open up.
Otherwise Wigan would just sit back for the entire game and frustrate us.

These are Rooney's words...
“Big thanks to Roy Hodgson for selecting me and showing his faith and support, appreciate it,”
If that isn't a dig at Moyes I don't know what is..
Or it's thanking him fit his support
Mr ender offers rooney his backside to ravage whenever he likes
For me Rooney is crucial to United's chances of retaining the title.
Just a quick observation:
When carrick has the ball in midfield, Cleverly seems to be further up the field and it makes it seem as if we're playing diamond. Why doesn't cleverley play alongside him?
Not sure you and Rooney have the same views
having a creative midfielder is just as important as rooney
Nobody see Moyes' pre match interview? I don't think he's going anywhere
Hahaha how is that a dig at Moyes? My god that's desperate. Praise the international manager = slating club manager. Logic

For you Rooney is crucial to paying your bills and raising your children
