I think England/Argentina is the biggest rivalry for most English fans nowadays,

I think most English fans are more interested in the start of the PL than this game tonight.

of course I could be wrong, but that's the way it seems anyway.

int football is only good when tournaments are on, i just hope our players come back in one peice for these type of games, as i should imagine a lot of clubs fans do, esp 3 days before the start of the fecking league.

if we ever host another tournament, we might get some of that passion for the game back, but it will go to some pointless country so Eufa can get their pennies.

used to like the Scotland England rivalry, not so sure there really is one anymore, and never considered Germany a rivalry, i thought they hated the Dutch.

Our main rival is definitely Germany. However Germany couldn't care less about us and see thier rival as Holland.

England v Germany is definitely my favourite international rivalry.

I hate the Argies with a passion.

Germs > Scots > Argies

England v Scotland is only important to those north of the border.
But tonight will again prove how bad the English team have become.
Oh well

England just play really boring football. It's never that interesting to watch anymore. Compared to the prem it's much more boring. Tornantaments are better, but even them can be a bit of an anti climax,

For an English fan, playing against Germans means more. However for Germans I doubt it means as much to them. I guess England vs Argentina has about the same 'hatred'

The England Scotland rivalry is only there in the eyes of the porrige eaters.

This is because these people know how to hold a grudge.

Yes, some of the English may have done the odd raid over the border, had s ex with there ugly ginger headed white skinned slappers without permission

We may also have burnt down the odd straw hut, and pillfered the odd bag of oatmeal.

But it really is time to let it go. It was over eight hundred bloody years ago, for gods sake.

Germany, although I doubt they really care, too busy doing well.

Truth is International football means far less these days.

I don't not care about England like some people do. The main thing for me is its just boring. If we changed our style of play to more attacking and ambitious it'd be more interesting.
It's just countless square passes to feet in our own half which go nowhere. Then a long ball for someone to chase. We tend to score most of our goals from free kicks. It's like watching a slow game of rugby.

we need Hoddle back or someone like Laudrup.

England v Scotland is the biggest rivalry for me, but I expect the younger JA606`ers will think otherwise, they will not know about the history of this clash.

Come on England

I really want someone with a whole new philosophy employed. Fed up with endless appointments of managers who are copies of the last. All stuck in thinking its still 1960/70s. Also none of them have the balls to shake up the team and not pick the players who under perform on every occasion!

I guess those who don't remember the British Home Championship (like me) don't see Scotland as the rivals they are seen by some. From what I read and have seen it was always a pretty feisty affair, can't ever see it returning though.

The home internationals were great but I dont think they`d be taken seriously if they were reintroduced, the Premier League is far to important (pffft) and top clubs would not risk their players in it

Great days though, mate

They are pretty similar rivalries.

The jocks hate us, we laugh at them.

We hate the Germans, they laugh at us.

They are both pretty one sided.

1-0 to the Scots on National Anthems. Fairplay.

Kinda sums up the fixture................or the love for a country. Take your pick.

the home internationals were not played during the seaon but in the week after the Cup Final. So how can the PL get in the way? Bring it back I say
