Wakey...
"Scannell fails to produce 90mins week in week out but has got ability the same for Hammill."
erm, Scannell has only started 3 games this season, so not sure about the 'week in , week out' ?
Each time he has started he has been demoted to the bench for the next 3 - 4 games...occasionally used as a late sub. ..
This is no way to treat someone like Scannell, he is quick, he is strong and he has a good deal of skill...I think he's had a poor deal from Robins...
I bet he wishes he'd stayed at Palace ......in the Premier League now..
This article was sponsored by Tampax. Shoring up leaky fanneys for generations.
I've stopped reading it now Champers
Fooking chips on their shoulders!
I just hope we play like we did against bmouth and ar sehole them!
Put my own two penneth in Hydy
Sensible lad this Wakey bloke and I couldn't agree more with everything he says above.
As for Robins, I reckon he was as good as anyone else who was available when Deano decided to appoint him, although he has a tough job on his hands to keep Town competitive, whilst staying within the budget constaints set by Town, although I also fully back Deano to run the club in a business like way, unless you want us to become another basket case like many clubs, who are living beyond their means and are slowly drowning in a sea of debt.
So for me, Robins was and still is the right manager to carry us forward, ably backed by a Chairman who understands how to run a proper business, without jeopardising it's future existence.
Steady on Mirf !
Somebody will be advising you to buy a Gold fish with comments like that..
Is it fair to say 50/50 at the moment ... For & against !
What I've taken out of the comments so far..
It would seem just about everyone agrees,
A new central defender is required asap.
But seeing as this has been a popular request for some time now...It has to go darn as a poor mark against Robins, simply because he plods on with the same inadequate player/players in that role.
Oil should have made rectifying this problem a priority too .
He didn't.
Is it fair to say.
"Could have done better" ?
Mirf ?

Jeez mate, have you tried dropping in the odd full stop, and starting a new sentence ?...
...
Darn,
50-50 give us a break. If you take out the perennial moaners on this site and listen to most sensible fans, then it's probably more like 80-20 in Robins's favour.
Also, who in their right mind can deny that our defence hasn't shown a big improvement over last season, and I'll give you just a couple of examples to back up my case.
Last season: Notts Forest 6 Town 1 and Leicester 6 Town 1. This season: 1-0 & 2-1 respectively and if that isn't a vast improvement defensive wise, then I don't know what the f-ck is. >
As for you jacko - you sound like a fussy redundant old school teacher , with nothing better to do than pull up posters about their lack of proper grammar.
Mind you, if that's all you could pull me up about, then I suppose you must agree with 100% of what I had to say.
Isn’t it marvellous? Out of the kindness of your heart and innards, you burn the midnight oil at both ends, sweating toil and blood to offer support and succour to someone, and what happens? You are bombarded with brickbats… and that’s not cricket! I should have taken my mother's advice. She wanted me to grow up to be the Luton Girls' Choir.
Still, on the football front, there’s a kite at the end of the tunnel. Town’s coaching staff has emerged from their think tank and come up with a panacea for the team’s recent ills. It was presented to the press in person by the Terriers’ tight-lipped, ashen-faced supremo, and published on the back page of today’s ‘Huddersfield Examiner’. It reads… and I quote… “We need to be picking up points.”
So there you have it. I could do that… gi’s a job!
What next, Mr. Manager… deciphering the Voynich manuscript?
Translation.......anyone?!
perennial moaners ? = Realists.
'most' sensible fans ? = Conned and deluded by the propaganda ...
I prefer realism..one win in eight games is realism...
the further down the league we go, the harder it gets...
He hello everybody . What's been happening on the sitettoday ? Has darn decided to buy a flight ticket ? Has Hyde realised cars can use motorways ?
And haa champ put an add in the Halifax gazette for a babysitting yet?
Yes Loui, I've been on a motorway today, only one junction, but it's a start
Champers will be knackered, he's had a good old ding dong with some leeds fans.
... and I nipped out and bought a goldfish at lunchtime. Went a bit over budget on the bowl - it has a mini cave which I liken to buying a program. So far it's been moving really slowly so I'm going to call it Anthony..
Only just finished work! Spent way too much time tying that guy up in knots
Quick shower and a few beers with the football are in order. Don't worry Loui, I've spoken to the wife and the little one is happily having a bath. She's left him the tv on the edge of the tub so he can watch his Peppa Pig in peace
Hydy - staying in a small village called Brighton tonight, though I doubt you've heard of it. Nothing like the sprawling metropolis of Leeds
Lol
I once had a blow out in Lewes
Btw, I'm having a few tonight.

Good old Tom Clarke has equalised against Bradford.
Mirth . Jacko will be back soon to put you in your place . No doubt he'll find a way to find a negative answer to your post .
ha !
One win in 8 games, and everything is fine with Mirf ?
We didn't lose 1-6, we lost 1-2..so we get...erm...erm...nil points ? If that's a positive, well hang on to it Mirf...
...we are invited to comment on things so far, and that's 12 games in to the season..and compared with 12 games last season...we have less points, are 8 places further down the league table..and not really playing the way Robins wants us to play...He said that, not me...
He also said..we need to be picking up points...and that's right, we do...
I'm just stating the obvious, and the fact that we are significantly worse off than we were at the same stage last season...that is a fact.
We'd won 6 games by this stage, this time we've won just 3...
Can't believe you think things are actually so much better ....
As for the remainder of the season...who knows ? Let's hope Robins turns things round and gets us out of this poor run we are in..
I'll be the first to sing his praises if he does...but at the moment, he has some work to do....
The attendances are lower too I believe !
Mornin' chaps.
What a beautifull day.
You're freaking me out now Lou How did you know I've just bought a ticket ??????
Go on then Mirf..I'll concede the 'ratio'..But 80-20..Not a chance, You've 'Shaded it Just over the 50' (volume IV perhaps ).
I take it you don't think we could do better with an improved, more competent central defender then ?
You mentioned what a sensible lad Wakey was....
......er, I believe he too thinks the defense is frail
I hope you 'split' his vote in your counting system.
At the start of the month, there were 12 points to play for.
after 75% of these games being completed, we have managed to gain 1 point in 9.
Lets hope it's 4 from 12 on Saturday.
that equates to a 33% success rate (if we win),
if we only manage the 1 point for the month, that will be more like .8 of a %.
& a draw would = 6%
things look bad...
Your are talking up an 'Old Skoda' trying to make it a car it can't be Mirf...
It needs a service.
& Soon
But what a game to start a winning run on! So many sc-um fans creaming about a 4-0 win. Truth is Birmingham were awfu. Town won't be....... I hope!
Awfu?
Glad to see you're still alive Wetherby!
Ignorant bar steward hasn't returned my text
Yeah Brum were a disgrace.
We'll win.
Or we won't.
Well said Jacko. Blooming Mirf bringing his cheer round these parts. Tsk.
Dunt worry, only another month til flu season kicks in
Only joking
