This Villa game is excellent. Guzan with a good save, really like him.

So Herbie - why did Wenger want him in the summer, he wasn't going to drop Giroud!

Herbie's mind is not up for anything I fear

I don't think (rightly) he was convinced with Giroud as the side's number one centre forward and was aiming to get us one of the world's best strikers in that position to properly fill the void left by Van Persie's departure. Giroud would have been a duly been a good bench option.

I'm not sure what gives you the impression that he was aiming to buy Suarez to play alongside Giroud as opposed to instead of?

That is silly comment because Wenger himself said that he believed in Giroud getting better in the second year in the PL League.

exactly! That is why Wenger didn't want to pay over the odds for Higuain,

Wenger further changed the way we playing. We are now more on a counter attack. But no in Herbie's thinking Wenger doesnt like to change anything.

What are you babbling on about? Where did I say he doesn't like to change anything? The team of Vieria, Petit, Overmars and Anelka were a counter attacking unit, built around pace, power and strong defensive foundations. The team of Henry, Pires, Cole and co, were a hybrid of possession based football and counter attacking pace and power, The team of Fabregas, Hleb and Rosicky were a possession based outfit that squeezed the life out of the opposition based around domination of the ball. Of course he changes his strategy and approach based around his staff.

The one constant among all that, however, has been the way in which he's used the forward line, with a creative number 10 tucked in behind an out and out striker. History tells me that it would have been more of the same from him had we signed Suarez. I think that's a fair assessment based around 17 years of proof. Not sure why you're angling for an argument when all this is is a difference of opinion.

Moyes to sub Van Persie for a CB now. He'd be happy with the draw
