Hengy we were 2 down and Tim nice but dim takes off a striker and puts on a midfielder. That to me is an idiot. And I'm the one missing a brain. Let's keep on a holding mid ( your words) and take off a striker?

You mean a striker that can't score? I wouldn't even started him..

442 was the wrong set up from the start.

Whoever even dreamed that you had a chance of winning the game better wake up and apologise.

Vertonghen, Kaboul, Paulinho, Sandro, Capoue, Townsend ,Defoe

4 of them are first 11 players

Yes but AFC had 5 starters out plus a 6th only coming on at HT. So injuries affected AFC more than THFC.

I remember Spurs getting a lucky 2-1 win at WHL vs AFC last season - the 'downward spiral' incident. But typically Arsenal win at The Lane. Without Bale, Spurs are pretty mediocre to be honest. Might still get 4th over LFC & MUFC though.

I still think we would of given arsenal a much better game had we our key players fit. I don't care what anyone says any side missing Vertonghen, Kaboul, Paulinho, Sandro, Capoue, Townsend , Defoe and Lamela would struggle. Im confident at home we will beat Arsenal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of those players are reserves and/or rubbish.

AFC had Ozil, Ramsey, Giroud, Gibbs & Szczesny all on the shelf - all starters. Plus Mertesacker sat out the first half.

Anyway, Arsenal usually win at WHL (remember the 4-5 in 2004?), so they probably will again.

Oh dear, this silly f. UK not the sharpest of fellas is he. Those players mentioned are all key players you muppet so certainly ain't " reserve" players. Townsend I'm almost certain would of given Sagna a scare down the left and we would of had a more stronger midfield and defence with Vertonghen and Sandro. Your record at whl in recent times is s. Hit.

Lets be honest now, if Townsend played he would only have run down the wing, cut inside and shoot. Hardly cause for concern.

Top corner of the stand more like it.

I think the only mistake Sherwood made today was not starting the way we finished the game. Arteta had an age on the ball and they passed through us. Ade worked hard to fill the gaps but Soldado was ineffective and wasteful, as he has been all season when starved of decent service.

I was relieved when he made the change, unfortunately it was too little too late

Sherwoods an idiot now?!?!?

Oh and Hengy i was suprised at you today on the match thread i was calling for Spurs to crack on then the 2nd goal went i said " aaah FFS " ghen you banned me very strange or childish I'm not sure??

He was an idiot for waiting til it was 2-0. Arsenal dominated midfield and it was obvious Spurs needed an extra man in there. Soldado is such a useless player Sherwood should have taken him off in the first half.

Tottenham were pathetic today, such an easy win it wasn't even worth celebrating. It was such a hollow win, it was like beating a conference side. I would love to WUM Spurs fans after beating them but instead I feel sorry for them. What a disaster the summer was for them.

Playing a 4 man MF, away, against a team that has quality ball playing MF's that you know will set up as a 5 man MF is what makes no sense to me. Soldado should've been on the bench and we should've been 4-5-1. But we'd have still lost, we just weren't at the races. But getting overrun and outplayed in MF gives you no chance. Hope Sherwood bucks his ideas up tactically going forward, not every match is Stoke at the Lane.

And that is 100% correct, in a nutshell, nail on head
