Yet here you are talking about him. He has really got you rilled up hasn't he? Tweets mean feck all. People can be on twitter and not tweet. You spend the same amount of time on this site as he probably does on twitter, means nothing.

No I don't. I only come on here in evenings after work. You see, I have a job. Tell me, what is Geoff's job. Does he have one?

Klose loan?

Well I thought he was great... about 5 years ago.

Suppose we can always bring him on in the 90+4th minute if we're in need of a goal...

posted on 30/1/14

From what I can tell he is self employed, but ask him.

How long has Geoff been on Twitter?

How long has Diaby been injured?

Coincidence?

Well this is gutting.

Please Ornstein be wrong for once.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For once? He has been wrong in the past. Unfortunately, as someone above said, journo are just repeating what they have heard but it still guess work.
Even for the bbc and skysport
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has he?

I trust his views.

If you are on about the Di Maria/Benzema he never said they were signing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
24 hours before deadline day, he said we were not signing Arteta. Unfortunately, journo get used by both clubs and agents to drive price up and down

BBC and SSN are the only decent media outlets out there. For newspaper, Guardian and Times are good too.

SSN are not reliable at all.

I can too. chelsea paid over the odds for Hazard at £35mill but he is worth that amount now, and in a couple years time could well be worth double that in today's market.

I do think it's worth taking a step back and considering whether spending £37m on Draxler would really be the best use of our resources. Of course he has a bright future, and could grant the club a lift, as Ozil did, but we have greater needs in other areas.

Of course, that doesn't excuse not spending, the opposite in fact, but fans do tend to get very wrapped up in particular transfer sagas without always considering the biggest picture - in this case an relatively experienced striker/centre back being of more pressing concern than a promising no.10.

Speaking of The Guardian, apparently there's some interesting chat about him on this weeks Football Weekly Extraaaaaaaaa podcast.

I'll be listening tomorrow... and probably shedding a little tear or two.

I wanted Draxler before anybody on here or the media reported our interest in him. I do agree with you though because there are people on this article who seem devastated by the news but were telling me a few weeks ago we didn't even need him.

posted on 30/1/14

Not necessarily talking about you Batmanu, but it does seem the case that when a player is strongly linked by the media, we HAVE to sign him otherwise it's a failure by the club, when we may have other concerns (i.e. the club being negligible in a different area )

Our priorities should really be:

New striker.

Replacement for Arteta, (I love him, but let's face it...)

Either a young up and coming, or experienced been there seen it all CB.

RB

Pacey left footed wide midfielder.

Draxler.

posted on 30/1/14

Agree Lex.

Cannot see a midfielder though, Flamini on a three year deal was a stupid move.
