Hendo > Messi

Intricate ball control, awareness, change of pace, and being able to play a difficult pass/shot instinctively (think Ronaldinho).

Jordan Henderson IMO possesses a lot of these traits

I wouldn't say Hendo possesses any of those traits other than awareness maybe.

His core strengths are running power and stamina, allied to solid technique and passing ability.

He can be very good modern central midfield player, but not in the same class as the best around at the time.

Consider Tony Kroos, only 6 months older than Hendo. Watch his performance last night, it was absolutely superb on every level. Hendo will never reach that level because he just doesn't have the skill-set, but he will be a good consistent performer for a long time.

Hendo is more Darren Fletcher than Steven Gerrard.

This season he finally got over this confidence issue and also this over reliance of Gerrard. He's got his own identity in the side now and has surprised me as I was a big critic of him.

Well I don't think it's unreasonable to say that he could truly be the best player of all time. Seems to have it all.

HE just need to be more confident in his shooting. we'veseen he's got the technique, but he seems to lack composure a lot of the time

As a neutral I'd say he's a more technical James Milner. A jack of all trades master of none.

Thats pretty fair Frimboue

Milner would score you more goals though.

If Luke Shaw is worth £30m, Henderson must be worth £50m at least

hes stepped up a level this season, br has done wonders for so many of our players. Br has also given him more responsibility this year and hes been using jordan to convey messages during a game, although that could be because he can run over and back to the touchline and gerrard cant do that anymore

Based on what?

He has only got double figures in one season in his career, and hasn't managed more than 4 in each of the last 4 seasons.

This is bang on the money for me.

I think he'll be an excellent PL player but unlikely to make waves at the top European or international level.

Frimboue & Righteous

Very useful player to have.

He is a good squad player, and can fill gaps all over the park. Every decent squad needs a capable, versatile midfielder or two.

posted on 20/2/14

He is only 2 thirds of his potential atm...

the same goes Coutinho, Sterling and possibly Sakho...

Its scary really if you think of how these players have performed this season so far!

This season alone with his limited game time he has the same amount of goals albeit one of Hendo's goal was against Notts County and has more assists.

He really needs to add more goals to his game. Would be a complete midfielder if he can.

Righteous has nailed it for me

Milner is 28.

Hendo will be scoring 10 or more a season at 28.

I think he is a confidence player too and needs to be told his hair is great and so on. Seems to get flustered sometimes when things don't go right instead of shrugging it off.

Good passes, long and short, and can manipulate a ball which is why he has been put on the wing a lot in his career.

Performed at a higher level when Gerrard was out, for whatever reason, and we saw more of the range in his locker.

His awareness is very good and he plays with his head up but his first touch is nothing to get excited about and that may hld him back.

His shot selection is poor and so is his composure and he will regularly drag the ball. If he can learn to pass the ball into the net then he'll kick on in that regard.

I think positionally he could improve and he is doing but despite his awareness I would question his game intelligence at times. Great leadership qualities and I feel he may be our next captain. He is always over to congratuate the goals and as said earlier he takes instruction from the side for BR.

Milner has become a very good player.

He's a very good young player who is at the right club and working under the right manager to keep pushing him to be better.

He has the talent and from what I've heard and seen on the pitch the application to get better and better. Liverpool look a weaker team without him. You wouldn't of thought that last season

Keep up the good work Hendo
