I think we could have won the league more but we kept changing managers. So we became a cup team. Pretty good one too.
Fergie knew though what it took to win the league though. Beat the little teams, draw against the better sides = PL title.
After the 2010 Prem win any sane person could see we would never win the league with our age group of players

Aye, thats why they were so poor in Europe. Never really played well in many 'tough' games, so had a poor record vs top 4 which carried into Europe.
Keep thinking JFDI is Joe Harts Dance Instructor
Superb, Arsenal have underachieved too ! The topic wasn't about Arsenal. You seem to agree with me anyway.
JFDI, growing up in the 70's,big clubs did not win sometimes win trophies for a long time, Shankly's Liverpool won nothing for 7 years up to 1973. I cannot remember, but I don't there was never a thought about sacking him and he did not have a Roman Abramovich or Sheik Mansour team in his way. Nowadays a few bad games and your job is at stake at some clubs.
I could make the same comparison with Kagawa, an expensive player who can't get into the Utd side because of other players like Rooney.
--------------------------------
A lazy asumption
Kagawa wasn't expensive
--------------------------------------------------
Kagawa cost £17 million. Try telling most clubs in the Premiership that £17 million isn't a lot to pay for a player. They wouldn't be too happy.
Chelsea only paid slightly more for Mata than Utd paid for Kagawa so the comparision is very relevant I feel.

"So poor in Europe"!
Are you sure?! Have you actually compared United's record in Europe to any other team over the past 20 years?
Can't believe that there are no Utd fans disputing Admin 1's claim that Utd are a "have not".
Their confidence must be shattered
2 wins in Fergies tenure, with some insanely quality squads is hardly decent.

Not even JFH, the DI is not Dance instructor or detective inspector, it stands for Do It, you can figure out the rest.
"For me this great tradition of theirs is about to be serverely tested. Fair play to them if they stand by their man."
Their standards and expectations have increased somewhat since before the reign of Fergie.
IMHO Moyes will have his future ultimately decided on financial grounds.
As a PLC, if sufficient shareholders decide enough is enough (share prices are too low etc) , it will be difficult to survive.
If the terms of the Glazers loans get worse (interest etc) if Man Utd decline too much, they will act immediately to save their precious wallets.

Newpaper rubbish
Not worth arguing about though. We know it was around 12 or 13mill
The point was about how he was utilised and why he wasn;t getting time in his preferred positions of number 10 or inside left.
