They're not underachieving, they're overachieving.

Their roster lacks depth & there's a clear lack of elite-level talent. Liverpool have been playing 'lights out' all season. All the other teams have gone through poor performance spells. How many LFC players would make the starting XIs of AFC, CFC or City?

Sturridge wouldn't make the City team (Aguero & Negredo). He probably wouldn't replace Giroud either - he doesn't hold up the ball well & wouldn't be able to link-up with AFC's midfielders in the stylish manner that Giroud does.

Giroud would replace Sturridge in the Liverpool team, no doubt about that...
