Would have got City next round anyway.

A lot of good performances and a few bad ones Grujic and Rhys Williams were both terrific I thought, really encouraging. Interesting to see what happens with Grujic as he’s definitely got something but he needs to be playing.

Taki and Jones were ok but capable of so much better.

Origi- so disappointing when he came on and topped it off with a poor penalty.

Wilson-as above, such a poor performance. Must be shipped out, really such an average player.

I thought Wilson did well playing out of position. Nothing I've seen from him suggests he's average.

Grujic is just showing his form Germany. He can play alright but still won't get many minutes in our squad. Surely someone like Fulham, Palace or others would not find a better midfielder than him who is available at the right decent price.

Grujic could be a good bench player for us. Wilson will be sold. Impressed with R Williams at CB.

R williams impressed me a lot more tonight than he did vs Lincoln.

Yep decent 4th/5th choice CB for now

Disappointing result.

I quite liked the team picked, and we definitely bossed the game for the most part.

Back 4 done pretty good. Neco got exposed a couple of times.

Midfield were ok. Grujic seems to have a decent pass from deep but I just don’t see how he fits in now Thiago is here.

Same for Wilson, no future at the club, but who really wants him?

Thought Takinwas ok but trying too hard

Whys Hendo in the England squad? Hes been injured missed games for us should not be returning to injury for England.

Facking Fulham straight out the gate for me

I love how the narrative for Fulham is that Scott Parker is doing all he can and it's the players that aren't good enough. Gotta love the media sometimes

Interested to see who the 2 clubs are that want Shaq. Must have been a good offer to prevent him from playing last night.

I think I saw on twitter that it's 2 german clubs.

At 28 he does really needs to play. Grateful for the goals against United, Everton and that cross to make is 3-3. 12-13m spent well.

Yeah he's not a bad player. Not a great player either...just not the wide player suited to our tactics.

At 90k/pw...we can do better business.

Can't find how much the buyback is but number doing the rounds seems to be £40m.

Could be a steal just in time to replace one of the front 3 in a couple of years if he smashes it at Sheffield.

Would have preferred him to go on loan but seems Klopp has decided it’s worth letting him go. Have to say £23.5m for someone who’s not played PL football is good money.
