We must have given assurances to Guéhi and Isak, they’re both so adamant that it’s only us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reminiscent of Van Dijk right when City tried to approach before the Jan window opened
Palace are lining up Rennes' 20-year-old French defender Jeremy Jacquet as a possible replacement for Guehi.

[🟢] INFO: Newcastle can't manage to sign one striker at the moment, let alone two.
[@CraigHope_DM]
This club is as useful as a fvcking chocolate teapot.
Starting to severely doubt the Isak deal gets done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been said many times, but they have really screwed themselves over.
Also Romano saying Chiesa wants to stay. I mean he will do but that goal, plus reading about how much the players like and rate him, has softened my stance on him staying. Maybe he can play a part this season, but if we need that kind of player, I’d rather keep Elliott (slightly different players I know).

Regardless of whether they get a replacement or not, what's the point in keeping a player who is adamant he won't play and will bring in over £100m? I get it would look bad to let him go without a replacement, but it would look even worse if they keep him just to let him rot.

I think Chiesa has a part to play with Diaz going. Could see him getting some game time, the quality is clearly there.
I’d still rather we go get Semenyo…
We’re not getting Semenyo. Where does he play?

Nah.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A right footed pacy and powerful winger can’t play LW?
I dunno, maybe. I’m a big fan for sure. He’d cost an absolute fortune though, but is great to watch and can play across the front three. Personally I feel his best work is from the right and I’ve kept an eye on him for a long time now.

He’d still cost nowhere near what Isak would cost, and gives us an immediate improvement on Gakpo.
I know ACON is always annoying but Ghana didn’t qualify so he can play in Salah’s position while he’s away with Egypt.
Also, if I’m not mistaken isn’t he technically home grown?
Burger head with an update:
[🚨] NEW: Liverpool held talks with Crystal Palace over a possible deal for Guehi, but the two clubs remained some distance apart in their valuations. Further discussions are expected this week.

Yep, all of that. I just don’t see it, especially with him just signing a five year contract and as much as I like him, I’m not sure he’s levels above Gakpo. I think it’s more likely Isak, with Gakpo and Ekitike taking the LWF berth.
It’s funny, I doubt we’d even be discussing Semenyo if we hadn’t played Bournemouth first game.
I look forward to the Gordon discussions after next Monday

Semenyo was talked about a lot last season, he’s clearly a quality player but I thought he looked a level above last year on Monday, and a decent guy to boot.
Just think it’s a lot more realistic than Isak tbh. Still wish we’d lower our sites. Isak or nobody is a stupid approach and right now it looks like Isak isn’t happening.
Quite happy with Isak or no-one tbh.
Happy to wait a while now, as I feel we’ve had so much change.

Ekitike has had a great start, but he’s still very young and relatively inexperienced. There’s a high chance he’ll have dips throughout the season, so we can’t afford to not have a proven CF.
Apologies if already posted but Newcastle in for Strand Larsen? Really?
What the AF are they doing? That’s a signing that could have been wrapped up early in the window you’d have thought.
Ekitike looks the business but lets not forget his start has actually been identical to Nunez's who also scored in the community shield and then got a goal and assist on debut.
Let's hope Ekitike doesn't headbutt a Newcastle player
