The OP makes a valid point, but I think the key is they are all actually good team players who generally do make the right decisions on the ball. They know when to go it alone and they know when they should pass.
Toward the end of last season when Barca and Messi were struggling Neymar tried to do it all himself and flopped badly I'm sure he will have learned for that. Him and Messi linked very well in the first few months of the season when both were fit.
The Pass to Di Maria the other night shows that Messi is more team than individual orientated. In the heat of the moment he made the right decision. He just needs to start running again.
With Barca's looming ban they will spend lots this window, Suarez (if a deal is agreed) will be accompanied by 2 CB (discussions are underway) and a CM. They will also get a new DM if Song leaves.
