Top player. I'm sure we would have made enquiries but think we are always going to lose out if the player has the option of joining Real.
Hopefully LVG has some news for us before they jet off for the tour.
if we had bought kroos and vidal i would have been happy no more wingplay and possibly the good old days of playing great football at OT would return
The priorities are CB and CM but I would still like a new winger if enough left in the pot to get some quality
vidal and humells would be perfect summer after long time
Kroos - £20m
Lallana - £25m
total joke

tell me about..i remember writing 1/2 articles regarding foreign and british players value wise. no way in hell lallana and shaw are worth those prices
and the FA wonder why there are so many foreign players in the PL
English clubs just rip each other off, every right too but personally i would just tell them to feck off
£25m for a good AM or £20m for a close to World Class AM
pardew close to signing cabella i dont blame him over the last 5 TW he has bought alot of french players, not forgetting good players for less money
yeah but for every good one he has bought 2 bad ones
looking at big clubs transfers regarding british players
arsenal - very rarely you would see AW buy british players but apart from ramsey, walcott, aoc and jenkinson i can't think of any other players he has bought in the last decade or so
chelsea - apart from, j cole, a cole, parker and lampard when RA took over chelsea, they only bought cahill and sturridge
man city - i cant even be bothered with them, all mega rich players whether there are british or foreign
pool/man utd - are the only team i would have to say that buy british players frequently

What a load of bull. Our best players have always been our wingers and our best football has always involved those great wide men.
have you seen our wingers lately we don't have the likes of giggs, beckham or ronaldo anymore

So signing central midfielders is going to change that?
No, you sign wingers to counteract that problem. Unfortunately we have given Valencia a new deal and Nani and Young look to be staying out

hasn't the cm position always been our problems since keane and scholes have left. which cm we had since then been scoring goals/assisting
We have always been excellent from wide areas. Not. Sure where you got that from
The rumourmill suggests Kroos did not join us because we could not offer CL football. Was not wages or the transfer fee.
Another chool of thought suggests LvG did not want him
Make of that what you will

last few seasons have we really been excellent?
I think it was because LVG didn't want him. He was a Moyes target. Similarly Garay. LVG has a blueprint for training, also how he wants his team to play and what players will fit his methodology. I think he has a clear vision of which players will fit this etc. He has supposed to have given Ed a list A, B, and C of his transfer targets (According to the Guardian ! ).
Vidal,Reus,Blind and a top CB would be great !
What Juan Ronaldo is trying to say I think is we have played uninspiring football for a while despite winning the league the season before last and that our wingers have been awful. We all know CM has been an issue for years and this certainly hasn't helped the wide men.
But wingers have aways been a great part of our traditional attacking play and so the question is should LVG jettison them for a new system that incorporates some new top quality midfield players and less width?
I am prepared for anything LVG does as long as it restores us to the top
I'm not sure we 'missed out.'
I mean, was he even available to us? Did we make an offer? Did his agent or club offer him to us? Did he express any interest in joining us?
