absolutely - good quality football with some real pace and power in there. think the squad is a little weak if we suffer losses in the wrong place but I'm optimistic of watching some good games this year.
KJ appears to think as highly of Clarke as me tho which is a worry as we only have one first choice striker right now
A promise from the court to stay away from her?
How did our defence get so good?
Can't fathom why he brought him GB, or maybe he didn't.
We need a new striker regardless of anything else.
I do think some posters on here should stop worrying about the fact that we are not signing more players before the window closes. We have a decent enough squad who are playing well as a unit, hence KJ keeping the same starting 11 and having faith in those players, even if a few didn't play well on Saturday.
Our main objective should be offloading players, not worrying about bringing in a few. If we do sign someone, it'll be a striker, but who's out there that's better than what we have now?
Well done KJ and the lads.
Good win that. Evans looked better and better as the game went on. RVLP is a real find. Doherty and Golbourne solid, Dicko worked his árse off.
If we'd played more positively we could've scored 3 or 4 but can't fault Kenny for playing it safe and hitting them on the counter.
YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAA And stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent win, if we could guarantee Batth, McDonald and Dicko staying fit and sharp for 46 games then of course we don't need anyone. But we are desperate for cover and competition in attack and defence.
But this was a superb away win with every player on the team doing really well, and it's rare that any team can say that
Ohso
Ja606 got blocked at work but I managed to sweet talk the IT guy into getting it unblocked on my computer. Then Tino got me into sports gaming and here I am
33% cross completion rate tonight from us, only 14% from them
we made 413 short passes and 99 long passes....completing 402 in total for a 79% accuracy rate.
Anyone in any doubt as to how severe a mugging it was on Saturday.......we completed 423 passes to Rotherhams 162
excellent stats center on goal.com.
Worth a look for those that find such things interesting.
DJ, I hope you make it to Euston and have a safe journey home, but I don't think we're desperate for cover in any position. If we can offload a few then come January we might have to strengthen if we do get injuries.
Off to update table and next round predictions.
Wolfie still banging on about offloading players even though the club has stated it isn't affecting transfer business. Clueless. #beeinbonnet
Great win tonight, and what I expected after Fulham's poor start. Just one point off the top means we're handily placed.
No matter what the stats said on Saturday it was always a game that looked like it could have gone either way. But tonight it would have been a travesty if we got anything but 3 points
Hi Butey. You must be really naive if you think that the club will not admit that the salaries of the players that we want to offload, isn't affecting any transfer business.
There are millions of pounds tied up in those players. Thankfully some on here aren't panicking about bringing in new faces.
I said before the game that their manager would come under pressure if they lost tonight and true enough there are plenty calling for his head. I heard someone saying on the way back to the tube that their upcoming games are against derby, forest and Cardiff. Gone by September?
I can't imagine he will be given too much time to improve things, the whole set up just seems rather bizarre.
Why blow 11 million on a striker when he is going to be surrounded by so many untried teenagers?
He has he work cut out by the looks of it.
And as for finances, Kenny kind of says it isn't affecting things whilst also saying it does not help, cryptic Kenny and all that.
That said, we need another Striker without question as it appears Clarke is not going to get a chance.
yes, can't agree with yr view of the squad WITSS
we have not improved our bunch of strikers from last season, a season in which only dicko looked like he was good enough right now. we are also thin on the ground in defence once you get past the four who started tonight and ricketts. we have defenders with promise and I think ebanks-landell will be a good player but I wouldn't want to lose DB and stears in September and have to rely on ricketts and E-L for a few weeks.
we do have an abundance of midfielders, with last season's heroes Jacobs, henry and price all being restricted to odd minutes so far. I would be so bold as to suggest we have the best squad of attacking midfielders in the league, with sako starting in top form and RVLP looking very impressive.
The pant wetters ie 75% of molmix and some on here hopefully realize their stupidity and will back Kenny and the players we have now.
Van La Parra looked so impressive tonight. He was a great outball. We regularly cleared the ball to him and he ran 40 yards with the ball then played it to a teammate. Just what you want to take the pressure off.
And another player who has really impressed me this season is Golborne. I wasn't sure how he would do at this level but so far he has been excellent.
There are a few pant wetters Wolfgang, but none on here to be honest, its only logical to want to see our squad numbers boosted a little.
Had no doubts regarding Golbourne personally, felt he was one of our best players last season once he settled and he is very consistant.
Loving RVLP as well, does appear to have a touch of class, hopefully come the end of the season several players who felt going elsewhere was a better option than coming to Wolves will have egg on their face
